Meeting on preparations to visit and support people affected by storms and floods

On October 17, comrade Le Van Han - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee chaired a meeting on preparations for the visit to support the northern provinces affected by storms and floods.

At the meeting, comrade Le Van Han said that this is a practical and meaningful activity, spreading the spirit of "mutual love", through which Vinh Long province contributes and accompanies the whole country, promptly sharing the pain, loss and difficulties with people in areas affected and damaged by storm No. 10 and floods after storm No. 11. Timely encourage, share, help people in storm and flood areas to soon overcome difficulties, stabilize their lives and restore production.

The delegation plans to visit and give gifts directly to Thai Nguyen and Bac Ninh provinces from October 19-21. Support for affected localities includes cash, necessities, food, etc.

The funding source is drawn from the Provincial Relief Mobilization Fund, ensuring publicity, transparency, objectivity and in accordance with the spirit of the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the policy of the Provincial Party Committee and Decree No. 93 of the Government on mobilizing, receiving, distributing and using voluntary contributions to support overcoming difficulties caused by natural disasters, epidemics, incidents, and supporting patients with serious illnesses.
