(GLO)- During 2 days (June 27 and 28), the Farmers' Association of Pleiku City held the 11th Congress (term 2023-2028) with the participation of 168 delegates representing 11,869 farmers' association members in the city.

In the 2018-2023 term, the City Farmers' Association at all levels has developed 1,814 members (reaching nearly 363% of the Resolution's target); mobilized members to contribute more than 2 billion VND to build the Association's fund; established 5 professional farmers' associations, 85 professional farmers' associations, 12 agricultural associations with 507 members; built 5 cooperatives with 276 members; supported 409,660 coffee seedlings for 1,243 households; helped 70 member households escape poverty; supported capital for 15 poor member households to invest in production; visited and gave gifts worth nearly 300 million VND to 818 policy families; mobilized the construction of 15 gratitude houses with an amount of more than 413 million VND... Up to now, Pleiku City has 4,224 farmer member households achieving the title of excellent production and business at all levels.

The Congress passed the Resolution for the 2023-2028 term with a number of basic targets such as: admitting 400 new members/year; 100% of Association bases have funds; 100% of Association bases complete their tasks well, of which 50% complete their tasks excellently...

The Congress elected the Executive Committee for the 2023-2028 term, consisting of 29 members; elected 15 delegates to attend the Congress at a higher level. Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Van was re-elected as President of the City Farmers' Association for the 2023-2028 term.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Pleiku City awarded certificates of merit to 7 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in the Association's work and the farmers' movement for the 2018-2023 term.
