Brigade 234's Youth Union organizes the Congress for the 2025-2030 term

(GLO)- The 234th Air Defense Artillery Brigade's Youth Union (34th Corps) has just held a Youth Union Congress for the 2025-2030 term with the participation of 80 delegates, representing nearly 500 union members of the entire unit.

During the 2022-2025 term, the Youth Union and youth movement of Brigade 234 achieved many outstanding results. The unit organized more than 150 political activities and specialized study sessions; deployed over 120 volunteer activities such as "Volunteer Saturday", "Green Sunday", "Youth Month", "Volunteer Summer Campaign"... The model "Saving on spending, for tomorrow's career" was maintained regularly with savings of more than 3 billion VND. The movement of initiatives and technical improvements took place vigorously, with the whole group having 345 initiatives accepted, many of which were effectively applied in training, logistics and technical work.

The campaigns and competitions launched by superiors have received positive responses from union members. The grassroots union has participated in many competitions to learn about history, traditions, and laws, winning the Encouragement Prize of "Creative Youth of the Army" in 2024 and the Third Prize in 2025. In addition, the movements of "Repaying gratitude" and "Rice jar of affection" are maintained regularly, donating nearly 1 ton of rice each year to help families with meritorious services and disadvantaged households in the stationed area, thereby strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people.

The Congress for the 2025-2030 term set out the direction with the slogan: "Solidarity, initiative, creativity, development". Cadres and union members determined to continue to innovate the content and form of activities; strengthen education on ideals and political mettle; arouse the spirit of enthusiasm, creativity, and volunteerism, contributing to the successful completion of the unit's political tasks.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Youth Union for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 9 comrades. Lieutenant Colonel Mai Thanh Tuan, Deputy Political Commissar of the 234th Air Defense Artillery Brigade, was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Youth Union for the 2025-2030 term.
