Part of Huawei's recently launched Fashion Forward range of wearables, the FreeClip is aimed at a growing group of listeners who want truly wireless earbuds that don't isolate them from their environment and allow them to stay in touch with what's going on around them.

FreeClip is a headphone model with a unique design.

Huawei FreeClip is also Huawei's first open-ear earphone, making a difference from conventional audio technology thanks to the innovative C-bridge design, opening a new era of Open-ear listening technology, enhancing comfort, aesthetics and connectivity for users. In addition, the earphone is also equipped with anti-sound leakage technology, the industry's first intelligent left-right ear recognition technology with Smart Wear Detection technology, long battery life, AI call noise reduction and IP54 water and dust resistance.

This is achieved by three main parts of the earphone: Comfort Bean, Acoustic Ball and C-bridge. The focus of the structural design is the C-bridge, which connects the Acoustic Ball and Comfort Bean using a cantilever design. The C-bridge design is made using complex techniques in the industry, taking Huawei engineers three years to complete.

The C-bridge prototype infrastructure is made of a high-performance nickel-titanium (Ni-Ti) shape memory alloy, ensuring optimal comfort for different ear sizes and shapes. The C-bridge remains durable and has been tested for durability through more than 25,000 tests.

Huawei claims the FreeClip is the industry's first symmetrical open-back earphone, with the design, size, and shape being identical for both the left and right ear. According to the company, the FreeClip offers up to 32 hours of battery life (including charging from the case) and can be fully charged in just 40 minutes, with 10 minutes of charging providing 3 hours of listening time.

FreeClip is expected to officially be available in Europe at the end of December for 200 EUR.
