Dong Hung district has 4 more products eligible to achieve OCOP in 2024

On the morning of December 27, the Dong Hung District OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council held a conference to evaluate and classify OCOP products in 2024.

Thien Duc fish cake product is evaluated and classified by the Council as a 4-star OCOP product.

There are 3 entities registering to evaluate OCOP products of Dong Hung district in 2024, including Tran Van Duc business household, Nguyen Xa commune with Thien Duc fish cake product; Viet Huong confectionery production facility, Nguyen Xa commune with fish cake product and Viet Huong brand peanut and sesame candy product; Phuong Dong Fine Arts Company Limited, Dong Phuong commune with a set of handicraft household products.

At the conference, the Council members conducted a dossier appraisal, directly reviewing and evaluating the products with the following criteria: production organization, product development, community strength, marketing ability, product story, sensory, nutrition, uniqueness, product standards and export ability. As a result of the appraisal, the Council members assessed that Thien Duc fish cake product is qualified to meet 4-star OCOP standards; fish cake product, Viet Huong peanut and sesame candy and handicraft household products are qualified to meet 3-star OCOP standards. This is the basis for the subjects to continue completing the dossier and transfer it to the Provincial OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council as the basis for reviewing and approving provincial-level decisions for the products.

Viet Huong peanut candy and fish cake products were evaluated by the Council as 3-star OCOP products.

The handicraft household products of Phuong Dong Fine Arts Company Limited were evaluated by the Council as 3-star OCOP products.

Previously, Dong Hung district had 22 products recognized as 3-star and 4-star OCOP products. The entities with OCOP products have developed consumption markets, expanded production scale, increased revenue and created jobs, stable income for many local workers.
