Opening of the Northwest Quintessence Festival

Delegates pressed the button to start the cooperation connection program between the Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.

The program was broadcast live on television, digital platform of Dien Bien Newspaper and Radio and Television and rebroadcast on television of Newspaper and Radio and Television of the extended Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong delivered the opening speech at the Festival.

In his opening speech, Provincial Party Secretary Tran Quoc Cuong emphasized: The 2025 Northwest - Dien Bien Festival will be held from September 19 to 21 with many rich and unique activities. These activities will continue to promote and improve the effectiveness of tourism development linkage activities between the extended Northwest provinces and Ho Chi Minh City; join hands to build a unique and rich "Northwest Quintessence" brand, honoring the quintessence of the land, culture and people of the ethnic groups in the extended Northwest region, promoting connection, exchange and welcoming of tourists between provinces and cities.

Attending the opening ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan highly appreciated the initiative to organize the Northwest - Dien Bien Quintessence Festival in 2025. This is a new development step, contributing to promoting cultural exchanges, expanding markets, exploiting potentials and advantages, improving the effectiveness of promotion, advertising, affirming the position and attractiveness of Vietnam Tourism. Along with that, the Vice President requested the Central Committees, ministries and branches to pay attention to supporting and creating favorable conditions for localities, including the Northwest provinces and Ho Chi Minh City, to promote rapid and sustainable tourism development. The Vice President hopes that domestic and foreign enterprises will pay attention to researching, surveying, proposing and implementing investment projects of reasonable scale, as a driving force to develop Northwest tourism worthy of the potential and advantages of the region...

Immediately after the ceremony is the opening art program of the Festival “Quintessence of the Northwest - Dien Bien 2025”. This is an elaborately staged program, combining tradition and modernity, with the participation of a number of artists and Art Troupes from many provinces and cities with a duration of 150 minutes, including: Art program on live television with the theme “Connecting the clouds and sky - Reaching the Northwest” and the art part welcoming off television “Brilliant sky”.

A large audience came to cheer on the opening art program.

The live TV program was elaborately staged, combining tradition and modernity, divided into 4 chapters, including: Chapter 1 Touching heritage - Sparkling quintessence; Chapter 2 Painting the horizon - Embroidering mountain love; Chapter 3 Weaving sounds - Weaving new sunshine; Chapter 4 Combining fragrances and colors - Connecting life rhythms. The symbolic art performances in the program recreated the natural beauty, heroic history and rich cultural identity of the Northwest region.

In addition, the main stage is designed to stand out, as a multi-dimensional performance space. The highlight is the semi-aquatic stage, a harmony between land and water, evoking the image of the Northwest nature blending with the sky and earth, reflecting the unique cultural depth of Dien Bien.

A special highlight of this year’s event is the off-air welcome art program called “Brilliant Sky”. With a duration of about 80 minutes, the program brings together famous works performed by today’s leading singers such as: Thu Minh, Tang Duy Tan, Da LAB group, Mai Quinn, Ha Le…

On the bright stage in the middle of the Provincial Stadium, tens of thousands of spectators were immersed in a youthful, emotional space. The combination of vibrant music and modern lighting created a passionate festival atmosphere, turning the Provincial Stadium into a colorful "outdoor stage", bringing the Opening Ceremony of the Festival "Quintessence of the Northwest - Dien Bien 2025" closer to the people and tourists from all over the world.
