Opening of the 2023 National Women's Futsal Championship

(GLO)- The Vietnam Football Federation coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Nam to organize the opening ceremony of the 2023 National Women's Futsal Championship on the afternoon of June 9 at the Ha Nam Provincial Sports Gymnasium.

According to Vietnam News Agency: This is an official tournament under the competition system of the Vietnam Football Federation. This year's tournament has 5 teams: Hanoi , Son Luxsen, Thai Son Nam, Ho Chi Minh City and host Phong Phu Ha Nam. The teams will compete in a round robin to determine rankings. The third and fourth ranked teams will compete for third place, while the first and second ranked teams will compete in the final.

The prizes for the champion team include: Cup, medals, honorary plaque and 100 million VND. The second and third place teams will receive awards including: medals, honorary plaque and prizes of 80 million VND and 50 million VND respectively. The Style Prize will receive 30 million VND. In addition, the Organizing Committee will award outstanding secondary prizes such as Top Scorer, Best Player of the Tournament, Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament.

At the opening ceremony, Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi - General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation said that the 2023 National Women's Futsal Championship was organized to encourage players, increase opportunities for competition, and create a good environment for female players to nurture their passion, demonstrate their talents and aspirations. In addition, the tournament is also an opportunity for the national team's coaching board to evaluate and select the best players to prepare for the national women's futsal team to participate in major tournaments in the coming time.

Nhan Dan Online newspaper reported: Right after the opening ceremony, two exciting and dramatic matches took place. The match between Ho Chi Minh City and Son Luxsen had a score of 3-2 in favor of the Ho Chi Minh City girls thanks to goals from K'Thua, Thanh Nhu and Hoang Nuong, and the equalizers for Son Luxsen were scored by Anh Ngoc and Hong Hue.

This year's tournament will take place from June 9 to 19 at the Ha Nam Provincial Sports Gymnasium.
