Opening of Dong Nai Food Festival

(DN) - On the morning of August 20, at Buu Long Tourist Area, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province held the opening ceremony of Dong Nai Food Festival 2025.

Participating in the festival were international chefs from India, Japan, Italy; professional domestic chefs and thousands of tourists coming to visit and enjoy.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dong Nai province, Vu Xuan Truong, said: In the atmosphere of celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, with the approval of the provincial leaders, the enthusiastic coordination from the Provincial Chefs Association, international chefs, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the Dong Nai Food Festival 2025 with many meaningful activities.

Specifically: Setting the record for the largest fried sticky rice with cashew nuts in Vietnam with a special combination of fried sticky rice with puffed rice, a specialty of Dong Nai (old) and the famous cashew nut dish of Binh Phuoc (old) to create a dish with the meaning of harmony, promoting the culinary characteristics of the new Dong Nai; cooking and model trimming competition with the participation of talented chefs; exchange program with the Master Chef; launching the Digital Map of Dong Nai Cuisine - a useful tool to explore the culinary culture of the province...

Dong Nai Cuisine Festival aims to promote and introduce the richness and uniqueness of the province's cuisine. This is a practical activity responding to the 2025 Domestic Tourism Stimulus Program of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism with the theme "Vietnam - go to love".

Accordingly, the tourism industry of Dong Nai province will organize many outstanding programs and events to attract people and tourists to come and experience, contributing to achieving the target of double-digit economic growth rate.

On this occasion, Buu Long Tourist Area offers free entrance tickets to visitors on the day of the event, August 20.
