
In her opening speech, Vice Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy said: "Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts Days" is a meaningful event, organized for the first time on a large scale, bringing together many art forms from traditional to modern, reflecting the rich creativity and deep love of art of the City named after Uncle Ho.
This event is not only an opportunity for the city to look back on the past journey and honor 50 years of creative achievements, but also the beginning of a new development phase that contributes to spreading creative inspiration.

At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee honored 50 typical literary and artistic works of Ho Chi Minh City since the country's reunification until now in the fields of literature, photography, architecture, theater, cinema, dance, fine arts, music , and literature and art of ethnic minorities.
Through these representative works, the audience has a comprehensive overview of Ho Chi Minh City's literature and arts through each stage of development, reflecting the process of innovation, integration and constant creativity of the city's artists over the past 50 years.

The program is also an opportunity for artists to meet, exchange, promote and introduce unique works of art to domestic and foreign audiences; encourage the movement of composing, performing and enjoying art in the community, especially the young generation.
Through that, the Organizing Committee wants to affirm the role, position and enduring vitality of Ho Chi Minh City literature and art as a source of creative, humane and affectionate energy, accompanying the cause of socio-economic development and international integration.

According to Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy, Vice Chairwoman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, with the spirit of "City of creativity, affection and aspiration to rise", the program will become a place to honor, connect and inspire creativity for generations of artists and art lovers.
“From here, the flame of artistic creativity of the city named after Uncle Ho will continue to burn forever, spreading, contributing to the comprehensive development of Vietnamese people, making culture truly become a solid spiritual foundation of society,” said Ms. Tran Thi Dieu Thuy.

In addition to the events at the Youth Cultural House, "Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts Days" also took place in Binh Duong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Con Dao with exciting, attractive, and meaningful activities such as; Free screening of the movie "Red Rain"; organizing an art program to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the playwright Vien Chau; performing the reformed opera "Tieng Trong Me Linh"; performing the reformed opera "San Ho Do"; performing the play "Duc Thuong Cong Ta Quan Le Van Duyet - The person carrying nine death sentences"; meeting of artists and writers of the Southern Central Bureau Base Area; exchange program, performance of poetry and music with the theme "50 years - Poetry and music take off with the City"...

Ho Chi Minh City Literature and Arts Days take place until October 21.
All activities within the program are open to the public, creating favorable conditions for a large number of people, students, artists, domestic and foreign tourists to visit, enjoy, exchange and experience the unique culture and art of Ho Chi Minh City.
