Free health check-ups and gifts for young workers in the capital

On the morning of May 26, at Phu Nghia Industrial Park, Chuong My District, Hanoi Youth Union coordinated with Hanoi Labor Federation to organize the Festival of accompanying young workers with the coordination of the Youth Union of Hanoi Industrial and Export Processing Zones, Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace. This is a practical activity in response to Workers' Month 2024.

Attending the program were representatives of the Hanoi Youth Union; the City Labor Federation and more than 500 young people and workers' families in the city.

Speaking at the program, Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union Tran Quang Hung said that the 2024 Youth Workers' Day included gift-giving activities for youth, workers, ethnic minority children in difficult circumstances, and workers' children who overcame difficult circumstances to study well... The total value of gifts was 400 million VND.

In particular, in order to create conditions for young workers to exchange and share knowledge about information technology and research smart devices, at the program, the HUB Network Startup, Innovation and Digital Transformation Club awarded the decision to establish and launch the Digital Citizen Club in non-state enterprises.

This is one of the meaningful activities to build a model of Youth Union organization and strengthen Party building work in non-state enterprises. At the same time, the launch of the Digital Citizen Club has created conditions for coordinating human resource training, providing quality human resources for enterprises.

In addition, the festival also held many practical and meaningful activities such as: consulting and examining 300 young workers with specialized medical examination packages such as: general examination, blood test, X-ray.

Organize free haircut booths for workers; household goods booths, booths for designing and displaying SIM card products and services, and free installation of digital signatures on the national public service portal. Deploy zero-dong booths, equip young workers with livestream sales skills to support workers and their families to become affiliate sellers, affiliate marketers, and increase their income in their spare time.

Many activities took place at the Festival of accompanying young workers in the capital.

The art experience program "Singing with workers" creates a playground for young workers to participate in cultural activities, contributing to improving spiritual life and bringing better life values.

Attending the program early in the morning with her daughter, Ms. Vu Thi Hong Thanh (Viet Nery Co., Ltd.) expressed her joy and emotion at the attention of the Trade Union and Youth Union to workers in difficult circumstances.

Ms. Thanh said that she has been working at the company for 6 years, and because she has 3 children, life is quite difficult. With a worker's salary of over 4.7 million VND and the company's allowances and bonuses, her total monthly income is about 6-7 million VND. Along with her husband's income and the support of her family, she has to save money every month to be able to cover her children's living and education needs.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (Dojung Company Limited) thanks the City Youth Union for its attention to workers in difficult circumstances.

"I think this is a very meaningful program. The government and organizations have paid a lot of attention to workers in difficult circumstances. I hope there will be more programs and more gifts for more workers," said Ms. Thanh.

Along with 300 young workers coming to the free health check-up program, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong (Dojung Company Limited) enjoyed a full health check-up service: blood, water, urine tests, blood pressure measurement, ultrasound, X-ray... Ms. Hong expressed her gratitude for the attention of the City Youth Union, along with the company's regular health check-ups, this check-up helped her know her health status so she could work with more peace of mind.

On this occasion, 300 young workers received free health consultation and examination.

The festival of accompanying young workers is an annual activity organized by the Hanoi Youth Union to demonstrate the role and responsibility of the Youth Union in accompanying and supporting young workers.

According to the Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Youth Union, in the coming time, the Youth Union will continue to support workers to improve their skills in the context of digital transformation; at the same time, there will be many activities to create Youth Union organizations such as digital citizen clubs in enterprises that do not have a union organization.
