Authorities urgently search for a child suspected of falling into Xeo Ro canal.
According to initial information, at around 6:30 a.m. the same day, Ms. Le Thi Kieu (26 years old, residing in Hamlet 2, An Bien Commune) woke up and discovered that her 4-month-old son was missing. Ms. Kieu's family house is a stilt house, built along the Xeo Ro canal, so it is suspected that the baby may have fallen into the canal.
Upon receiving the news, An Bien Commune Police coordinated with the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of U Minh Thuong area to mobilize divers and specialized vehicles to urgently carry out the search.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Ngoc Can, Deputy Chief of An Bien Commune Police, said the search was difficult because the incident occurred right at a river intersection with strong currents, and the child was too young.
