Rewarding 50 groups and individuals in the 2025 Preliminary Round of Reading Culture Ambassador Contest

On the morning of June 24, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Long An province held the Closing Ceremony of the 2025 Preliminary Round of the Reading Culture Ambassador Contest. Attending were Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest - Nguyen Tan Quoc; Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training - Phan Thi Da Thao.

Organizing Committee and winners of the contest

The 2025 Long An Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest, preliminary round, was launched from April to June 2025.

After 3 months of launching, the Organizing Committee received enthusiastic participation and response from schools in the province with 354 entries.

Of which, Long Huu Dong Secondary School, Can Duoc district has the largest number of students participating in the preliminary round with 65 entries; Long Hoa Secondary School, Can Duoc district has the largest number of students winning prizes in the preliminary round with 11 winning entries.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism , Head of the Organizing Committee of the contest - Nguyen Tan Quoc affirmed the great role of reading culture in contributing to improving people's knowledge.

Thereby, contributing to the effective implementation of Decision No. 329 of the Prime Minister on approving the Project on developing reading culture in the community until 2020, with a vision to 2030.

Director of the Provincial Museum and Library - Do Thi Kim Dung commented: “Through the evaluation, this year's contestants have closely followed the rules of the Organizing Committee, the entries show their love for books through sharing about their favorite books, inspiring, leading to a positive lifestyle, and being responsible to society. Many entries are creative in the way they are presented, such as articles in the form of photo books, book illustrations, drawings; video clips are invested in a methodical and elaborate manner. Many contestants have promoted their personal advantages such as using graphic effects to present.”

Student Tran Ngoc Dan Quynh spoke on behalf of the contestants.

On behalf of the students participating in the 2025 Long An Province Reading Culture Ambassador Contest, Tran Ngoc Dan Quynh, a 5/1 grade student at Duc Lap Thuong B Primary School, Duc Hoa District, shared: “The Reading Culture Ambassador Contest has given me a valuable opportunity to discover more good books, learn useful things and develop my writing skills and presentation skills. Through the pages of books, I not only learn lessons about ethics, love, and courage, but also broaden my understanding of the world around me, aiming to live positively and be useful to society. I promise to continue to cultivate the habit of reading every day, actively introduce good books to friends, and contribute to spreading the reading culture.”

Rewarding 50 collectives and individuals for their achievements at the Competition

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates of merit to 6 groups and 44 individuals who achieved achievements in the 2025 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest, preliminary round. The Organizing Committee also selected 6 entries with the highest scores to participate in the national final round organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, honoring the 2025 Reading Culture Ambassador in Hoa Lu City, Ninh Binh Province, expected at the end of October 2025./.
