Commencement of construction project of Quang Ninh Provincial Police Headquarters worth nearly 800 billion

On March 7, Quang Ninh Provincial Police held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new headquarters construction investment project. The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by General To Lam - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security .

The new office of Quang Ninh Provincial Police was built in Hong Ha Ward, Ha Long City, replacing the old office which was built in 1985 and was degraded, cramped, unsynchronized and no longer met the working and combat requirements of the police force.

Based on the report and proposal of the Quang Ninh Provincial Police, the Ministry of Public Security has approved the project investment policy. The Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, and the People's Council of Quang Ninh Province have agreed to support the investment capital.

The project has a scale of 1 basement, 13.5 floors above ground, with a total investment of 796 billion VND. Of which, the Quang Ninh provincial budget arranges and supports 95% of the total investment of the project.

The project is expected to be inaugurated in August 2025 to celebrate the 16th Congress of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term and the 80th anniversary of the People's Public Security Traditional Day (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025).

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Cao Tuong Huy - Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee, informed that from 2020 to now, Quang Ninh province has supported 1,289 billion VND for police forces at all levels to invest in modern equipment and vehicles to serve the work of ensuring security and order in the province.

At the same time, provide funding for the Provincial Police to implement 18 projects to build police headquarters at all levels in the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period, with a total investment of VND 1,986 billion, of which 11 projects have been completed and 7 projects are underway .
