Foreign investors turned to net buying, focusing on a bank stock

After losing nearly 8 points, the market opened with an effort to recover and the VN-Index soon reached the 1,290 point mark. However, towards the end of the morning session, the market narrowed significantly due to investors' hesitation.

Although green still dominated the VN30 basket, only 3 names increased by more than 1%: VIC, POW, HDB. VCB, VHM, STB, VPB, TPB, SSI, VRE, BCM increased by less than 1%. The remaining codes decreased but not too much.

At the end of the morning session on July 11, VN-Index increased by 1.29 points, equivalent to 0.1% to 1,287.23 points. The entire floor had 199 stocks increasing and 188 stocks decreasing.

In the afternoon session, the market reversed, leaving many sectors in the red. Meanwhile, the stock group attracted attention when it rose to the top with good gains.

At the end of the trading session on July 11, VN-Index decreased by 2.14 points, equivalent to 0.17% to 1,283.8 points. The entire floor had 198 stocks increasing, 242 stocks decreasing, and 75 stocks remaining unchanged.

HNX-Index increased by 0.84 points to 245.39 points. The entire floor had 91 stocks increasing, 79 stocks decreasing and 58 stocks remaining unchanged. UPCoM-Index decreased by 0.38 points to 98.32 points.

The banking group was the main cause of the market's decline, the "culprits" were VCB, TCB, VPB, CTG, MBB, putting pressure on the index by taking away a total of more than 1.8 points. In addition, the codes TCB,ACB , MSB, EVF, VIC, BID, OCB also ended the session in red. The whole industry only had a few green dots such as EIB, HDB, TPB, NAB, LPB, BVB.

Similarly, the technology group was also affected under the leadership of the giantFPT . This code ended the session down 0.75% to 133,000 VND/share and took away 0.3 points from the market. The codes CMG, ITD, ICT, MFS, CMT, SBD, VTC also decreased.

The bright spot is the securities group when green covers most stocks, such as SSI, VIX, VND, SHS, HCM, MBS, VCI, VDS, CTS. The whole industry has only 3 stocks that decrease in points: CSI, DSC, TVB.

The real estate group also increased quite positively, notably the trio of Vingroup (VHM, VIC, VRE), DIG, KDH, NVL, DXG, PDR, ITA, HDC, IJC, NTL, ASM. However, there are still some codes that decreased in points such as TCH, BCR, HDG, EG, TIG,...

The total value of matched orders in today's session was VND21,213 billion, down 17% compared to yesterday, of which the value of matched orders on HoSE reached VND18,519 billion. In the VN30 group, liquidity reached VND7,947 billion.

After 25 consecutive net selling sessions, foreign investors returned to net buying worth 69 billion VND today, of which they disbursed 2,472 billion VND and sold 2,403 billion VND.

The codes that were sold heavily were FPT 397 billion VND, TCB 172 billion VND, VNM 100 billion VND, MWG 93 billion VND, DCM 74 billion VND,...
