13 subjects prosecuted for "Organizing illegal drug use" at X-Men Karaoke bar

Regarding the case of X-Men Karaoke bar staff in Phu Quoc special zone and dozens of customers testing positive for drugs, on the morning of September 3, the Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police announced that it had issued a decision to prosecute the case, prosecuting 13 defendants for the crime of "Organizing illegal use of drugs".

The subjects were prosecuted.

The Investigation Police Agency of An Giang Province Police has issued an order to temporarily detain 12 suspects, including: Trinh Van Binh (born in 1992, residing in Thanh Hoa province); Le Thanh Thuy (born in 2008), Nguyen Minh Tan (born in 1989), Tran Tan Hung (born in 1996), Tran Thi Thanh Truc (born in 1996), Tran Van Dinh (born in 1984, all residing in An Giang province); Le Van Nghia (born in 2005, residing in Ca Mau province); Trinh Kim Ngoc (born in 2009, residing in Vinh Long province); Nguyen Minh Quan (born in 2003, residing in Ninh Binh province); Nguyen Ngoc Duyen (born in 2003) and Nguyen Hoang Quyen (born in 1989, all residing in Can Tho city). At the same time, an order was issued to prohibit Le Thanh Ngan (born in 2004, residing in An Giang province) from leaving her place of residence.

The subjects were caught red-handed with related evidence.

Previously, at about 1 a.m. on August 22, 2025, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of An Giang Provincial Police coordinated with the Phu Quoc Special Zone Police and the Mobile Police Department, the Social Order Administrative Management Police Department of the Provincial Police to inspect the X-Men Karaoke bar (Ward 1, Duong Dong, Phu Quoc Special Zone) and caught 17 customers singing in 4 rooms and 13 employees (5 employees in the room, 8 employees outside) showing signs of illegal drug use.

Conducting drug tests on the above guests and staff, the results showed that 23 people tested positive for drugs (including 9 staff). The seized evidence included 11 plastic bags containing crystals and 31 red tablets (drugs), 4 gas cylinders, and many tools for illegal drug use.

The Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of An Giang Province Police is continuing to investigate and prosecute related subjects for handling according to the provisions of law.
