According to the initial investigation results, since May 2021, Nguyen Hoa Binh - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nexttech Group and a number of individuals have built the "Antex digital currency" project, calling on investors to contribute capital to develop the digital currency ecosystem and VNDT e-wallet.
From August to November 2021, this group issued about 33.2 billion tokens, collecting the equivalent of 4.5 million USD (about 117 billion VND) from about 30,000 investors. However, the investigation determined that the project was not implemented on schedule, and these people withdrew money from the project's general wallet, transferred it to personal accounts or companies in the Nexttech ecosystem for misuse.

So far, the investigation agency has determined that the amount of money misappropriated is particularly large, with about 30,000 investors affected. Hanoi City Police have temporarily detained and frozen assets worth about 900 billion VND, including 597 gold bars, foreign currency, 18 red books, 2 cars and many electronic devices and related documents. The defendants have only paid 3.45 billion VND in compensation.
In addition, in 2022, Nguyen Hoa Binh was also accused of directing the establishment of Nextland Real Estate Trading Joint Stock Company, using two accounting systems to conceal revenue, lower the value of sales contracts, causing great losses to the State budget. The Hanoi City Police Department of Investigation is expanding its investigation into the behavior of individuals and organizations in the Nexttech ecosystem.
