The tournament was organized by the Vietnam Figure Skating and Roller Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together 200 athletes from 10 provinces and cities across the country, including: Tay Ninh, Can Tho, Bac Ninh, Dong Nai, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong, Hanoi , Gia Lai, Dong Thap and host Ho Chi Minh City.
Athletes competed in 46 events, including 28 Speed Roller Skating events, Artistic Roller Skating (14 events), and Skateboarding (4 events).
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Dang Khanh, Head of the Department of Sports and Physical Training of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said that in addition to the purpose of improving health, creating opportunities for exchange and improving skills for athletes, the tournament will contribute to promoting the development of the Roller Sports movement across the country.
Along with that, the tournament is organized to develop the movement of training and competing in Roller Sports, and to evaluate the quality of athlete training in provinces and cities nationwide.
This is also the basis for experts to select talented faces to supplement the national team, preparing for future international events.
The tournament is also an opportunity for units to prepare forces to participate in the 10th National Sports Congress in 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City.
Roller Sports, a sport that combines dexterity, endurance and the ability to master speed on roller skates, has attracted a large number of young people to participate in recent years.
The diverse competition content from speed, technique to artistic performance will bring the audience exciting experiences.
Ho Chi Minh City hosting this tournament is important in spreading the Roller Sports movement to the community.
Not only stopping at competition achievements, the tournament also contributes to inspiring and encouraging young people to practice sports, building an active and healthy lifestyle.
