Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park makes its mark with high-tech, green, environmentally friendly industrial projects.

Bringing clear economic and social efficiency

Established by the Prime Minister in July 2017, Thai Binh Economic Zone with an area of over 30,500 hectares is the largest coastal economic zone in the Red River Delta, including functional zones of industry, electricity, seaports, urban areas, tourism - services, agriculture - forestry - fishery, residential areas...

Thai Binh Economic Zone is located in the Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh Growth Triangle, adjacent to international trade routes, creating a prominent advantage compared to many other coastal economic zones. The formation of the Economic Zone has opened up a new economic space, creating a foundation for a purely agricultural province to break through on the path of industrialization and modernization.

Thai Binh Economic Zone has become a "destination" for many large domestic and foreign corporations. From 2021 to June 2025, the total registered investment capital in the Economic Zone reached 133,000 billion VND (excluding housing projects), accounting for 71% of the total investment capital in the whole Thai Binh province (old). Of which, foreign direct investment (FDI) reached 4.3 billion USD, accounting for 81%.

Thai Binh Economic Zone has attracted 5 industrial park infrastructure projects (Lien Ha Thai, Tien Hai, Hai Long, VSIP, Hung Phu), with a total investment capital of 15,236 billion VND. Of which, Lien Ha Thai is the first industrial park in Thai Binh Economic Zone to mark its pioneering role in successfully attracting high-tech, green industry and supporting industry projects. In a short time, this industrial park has attracted 51 secondary projects, with a total capital of nearly 1.6 billion USD.

Many large-scale projects are being implemented in Thai Binh Economic Zone such as the 1,500 MW LNG Power Plant (2 billion USD), GEL O&J Automobile Assembly and Manufacturing Project (319 million USD), Compal's Electronic Equipment Factory (260 million USD), Greenworks Garden Equipment Factory (200 million USD), Pegavision's Contact Lens Factory (200 million USD), Lotes' Electronic Components Factory (170 million USD)...

Not only concentrated in the Economic Zone, the system of industrial parks outside the economic zone in Thai Binh province (old) also made a clear mark with 8 planned industrial parks, of which 6 industrial parks have been established with an area of 875 hectares. By June 2025, these industrial parks attracted 161 projects, with a total registered capital of about 30,000 billion VND, including 73 FDI projects with a total capital of 800 million USD.

The above figures quickly translated into concrete results. In just the first 6 months of 2025, enterprises in economic zones and industrial parks generated an industrial production value of nearly VND 41,000 billion (up 21.2% over the same period), an export value of 1.26 billion USD (up 21.7%) and paid over VND 1,500 billion to the budget (up 10.4%), creating stable jobs for nearly 79,000 workers, of which more than 96% participated in social insurance.

Infrastructure is gradually completed

Along with attracting investment, Hung Yen province has given special priority to infrastructure development. The 34 km coastal route through the province is expected to be completed in 2025, creating a traffic route connecting coastal localities running from Quang Ninh to Thanh Hoa. The CT.08 Thai Binh - Nam Dinh Expressway, the Thai Binh city - Con Vanh route... are being deployed, creating large transport capacity, logistics and seaport logistics services.

Energy infrastructure is also a highlight. The power center with two thermal power plants with a capacity of 1,800 MW has come into operation. The LNG power plant project with a capacity of 1,500 MW will start construction in September 2025, promising to turn the province into an important energy center of the North. Along with that, the system of transformer stations and power grids are invested synchronously, ensuring supply for large industrial projects.

Along with technical infrastructure, Hung Yen province also focuses on developing social infrastructure. Workers' accommodation areas, social housing, and new urban areas have been approved and implemented. In Lien Ha Thai Industrial Park alone, there have been 6 worker accommodation projects, providing accommodation for about 6,000 people. Along with that, tourism - service projects such as Con Vanh golf course, Saphia hotel, or sea trade - service center are contributing to shaping a new look, both industrialized and serviced, and effectively exploiting the potential of the marine economy.

In the near future, Thai Binh Economic Zone will not only be a coastal economic zone, but also a free economic zone - connecting the region, reaching out to the world, with 4 main pillars: business freedom, capital freedom, talent freedom and governance freedom. A comprehensive strategy is opening up, ready for pioneering investors, long-term vision and aspiration to lead, contributing to making Hung Yen not only a "new destination" for capital flows, but also a "sustainable destination" on the industrial map of Vietnam.
