At the same time, a document was issued requesting the World Health Organization Office in Vietnam to support Aquatabs water disinfectant tablets and some essential chemical supplies to serve the work of environmental treatment and providing safe drinking water for people in areas affected by storm No. 10.
Previously, to proactively prevent and control epidemics that may occur during and after storm No. 10 according to the directives of the Department of Health, on September 29, 2025, the Center for Disease Control issued Official Dispatch No. 2177/KSBT-PCBTN guiding the Health Centers and Commune and Ward Health Stations to strengthen the work of preventing and controlling epidemics during and after storm No. 10. Accordingly, units are required to closely monitor the epidemic situation to be able to detect early and promptly handle infectious diseases that are at risk of outbreak, and at the same time localize and handle to prevent the epidemic from spreading widely in the community. Strengthen propaganda and advise people to take disease prevention measures. In addition, units are required to review disaster response plans according to the "4 on-site" motto, ensure adequate supplies of medicines, chemicals, supplies, and strictly implement the work of reporting infectious diseases according to regulations.

On October 1, the Center issued Plan No. 2191/KH-KSBT on the implementation of water treatment; environmental sanitation; disease prevention and control after storm No. 10 in Cao Bang province with the aim of minimizing the risk of environmental pollution and disease outbreaks affecting people's health in areas affected by storms and floods in the province. Directing the Health Centers, Commune and Ward Health Stations to review and summarize the villages, hamlets and residential groups affected by storms and floods; guiding and instructing the implementation of environmental sanitation measures, water treatment; making a work plan to survey areas and locations that need environmental treatment and advising on the organization and implementation of environmental sanitation and water treatment after storms and floods... At the same time, guide, direct, supervise and support Health Stations and Health Centers to deploy and implement environmental sanitation measures and prevent and control epidemics after storms in the province.

On October 2-3, the Center for Disease Control, the General Hospital of Traditional Medicine and Rehabilitation supported the Health Stations of Thuc Phan, Nung Tri Cao, Tan Giang wards and the Health Stations of Quang Han, Duc Long, Quang Hoa, Nam Tuan communes, and Quang Hoa Health Center to spray disinfectants to treat the environment and water sources at flooded areas. At the same time, they instructed people to continue implementing measures to treat the environment and water sources according to the regulations. instructions of the Ministry of Health .

According to the plan, disinfection spraying and water treatment work will continue to be deployed by the units and extended until the areas affected by storm No. 10 are treated, ensuring environmental sanitation and disease prevention.
In addition, to proactively prevent and control epidemics in the whole province in general and at flooded areas in particular, the Center directed units to coordinate to strengthen monitoring and support localities in early detection and timely handling of infectious outbreaks.
