Firefighting and rescue sports competition of the grassroots fire prevention and fighting team

On October 4, Petrolimiex Son La Company Limited organized a Fire Fighting and Rescue Sports Competition for the Fire Prevention and Fighting Team in 2025 on the occasion of the Fire Police Force's Traditional Day and the National Fire Prevention and Fighting Day. Attending were leaders and officers of the Fire Police and Rescue Department, the Provincial Police and representatives of the Provincial Border Guard Command.

The organizing committee awarded souvenir flags to the teams participating in the sports festival.

The competition had 10 teams and 50 athletes representing 47 fire fighting teams at Petrolimex Son La Company Limited stores. The teams went through 2 rounds: Theory and practice. In the theory round, the teams drew the order and questions, each team had 15 seconds to prepare the answer and no more than 60 seconds to answer. The maximum score for the theory round was 10 points, which was based on the criteria of the most accurate and fastest answers.

Practice test using fire extinguisher to extinguish fire.

In the practical part, each team sends 3 members to perform the comprehensive test. The teams must participate in a formation run, handle a simulated fire alarm at a gas pump, extinguish a fire at a fuel tank, and move assets and goods out of the danger zone. The maximum time to complete is 120 seconds. The team with the highest score is the team that performs the entire procedure correctly and extinguishes and handles the fire the fastest.

Practice using fire fighting equipment to handle fires promptly.

Practice moving goods at a general store to avoid fire spreading.

The teams competed in an exciting and dramatic manner, demonstrating their understanding, quickness, and quick and accurate answers to knowledge questions. Team members skillfully used equipment, deployed fire fighting and rescue effectively in the fastest time, ensuring safety.

As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes, 4 consolation prizes to the winning teams; at the same time, awarded prizes to the teams with the best theoretical and practical performances. On this occasion, the Company awarded certificates of merit to 6 groups with outstanding achievements at the sports festival.
