On June 1, Song Tien - Ben Tre Eye Hospital officially came into operation. This is the first non-public hospital in the Tien River area, located in Ben Tre City, specializing in treating eye diseases.

Mr. Bui Minh Luan, Deputy Director of Ben Tre Department of Health , said that the establishment of Song Tien Eye Hospital is a breakthrough in health care for people in Ben Tre province in particular and the Tien River area in general with advanced techniques in treating eye diseases.
At the same time, it also shows the effectiveness of the process of Ben Tre province implementing the policy of mobilizing all resources (state, private) to invest in the field of health care and people's health.
On this occasion, Song Tien Eye Hospital - Ben Tre supports 100 preferential packages for people in the Tien River area to have cataract surgery, and more than 1,000 completely free eye examinations, with an estimated support cost of about 500 million VND.
