At about 9:30 p.m. on October 13, Mr. VVD (born in 1988, residing in Son La province) drove a tractor with license plate 29C-923.xx pulling a trailer with license plate 29R-073.xx, carrying bran on the elevated Ring Road 3 in the direction of Phap Van - Mai Dich.
When arriving at the area in front of 158 Khuat Duy Tien Street (Thanh Xuan Ward, Hanoi ), Mr. D discovered that the front of the driver's side of the vehicle was on fire. The driver and his assistant, Mr. NVT (born in 1963, residing in Hung Yen Province), quickly left the vehicle. In just a few minutes, the fire broke out strongly, engulfing the entire cabin of the tractor trailer.
Immediately after receiving the news, Thanh Xuan Ward Party Secretary Nguyen Huy Cuong was present at the scene to grasp the situation and direct the response work. Thanh Xuan Ward Police, security forces at the grassroots level and militia forces quickly arrived, deployed measures to divert traffic, protect the scene and closely coordinated with the fire prevention and fighting force during the fire fighting process.
The Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Hanoi City Police) mobilized 2 specialized fire trucks along with officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire. After only about 5 minutes of arriving, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team of Area 13 controlled and completely extinguished the fire. Regarding the initial damage, the fire completely burned the front and cabin of the tractor, the cargo on the trailer was not burned, there were no human casualties.
Currently, Thanh Xuan Ward Police are coordinating with functional units to continue investigating, verifying the cause of the fire and clarifying the value of property damage according to regulations.
