Timely detect and resolve issues related to workers' rights

Kinhtedothi - On the afternoon of December 27, the Hanoi City Civil Servants' Trade Union held a conference to review the movement of cadres, civil servants, public employees (CBCCVCLĐ) and Trade Union activities in 2024; deploy tasks, launch emulation movements in 2025.

Attending the conference was Secretary of the Party Committee of Hanoi City Agencies Doan Trung Tuan.

Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation, Chairman of the City Civil Servants' Trade Union Nguyen Chinh Huu chaired the conference.

Encourage and create more trust of union members with the union organization

In 2024, closely following the leadership of the Party Committee of the City Agencies, the direction of the Hanoi Labor Confederation (HLC) and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (GCL), all levels of the City General Confederation of Labor continued to strengthen the direction, maintain and promote the movement of cadres, civil servants, public employees and trade union activities, successfully completing the proposed contents and work programs.

The opening performance of the program was performed by members of the City Civil Servants' Union.

The City Trade Union always focuses on innovating the content and form of activities, focusing on promoting the quality of Trade Union movements according to the motto of being oriented towards union members; the role of management, representation, care and protection of legal and legitimate rights and interests, and the right to mastery of civil servants and employees is constantly improved - especially the timely support for workers in difficult circumstances, has encouraged and created more trust of union members in the Trade Union organization and the political system.

The work of consolidating and perfecting the organization and cadres of the Trade Union at all levels is regularly focused on and promoted; the launching of emulation movements has a focus, key points, close to the characteristics of the cadres, civil servants, and public employees... Through these activities, the civil servants, public employees, and union members have been encouraged to strive to complete the tasks of each agency, unit, and the city.

Some specific results include: the City Trade Union has strengthened its grasp of the situation, promptly detected, resolved and participated in resolving issues related to the legitimate rights and interests of union members, civil servants and employees. Directed 4 enterprise-based Trade Unions to proactively monitor the implementation of collective labor agreements.

The Organizing Committee awarded the Medal for the Cause of Building Trade Union Organizations of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to individuals.

In addition, the City's Trade Union organized gift giving, visits and encouragement to union members and workers in especially difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024. The City's Trade Union met and gave gifts to encourage union members and outstanding employees at 5 grassroots trade unions under the City's Trade Union on the occasion of the Spring of the Year 2024 with a total amount of 80 million VND; organized free reproductive health check-ups and early cancer screening for employees...

At the conference, the City Trade Union launched an emulation movement among civil servants and public employees in 2025 according to the City Trade Union's plan.

Creativity, innovation in thinking, breakthrough in doing things

Speaking at the conference, Secretary of the Party Committee of the City's Agencies Doan Trung Tuan emphasized that in 2024, the City's Trade Union joined hands and contributed to completing many common tasks of the city with many creative, innovative thinking, breakthroughs in working methods; many outstanding, lively, and comprehensive movements in all fields.

Pointing out a number of activities that need attention in the Trade Union's activities, the Secretary of the Party Committee of the City's Agencies emphasized that in 2025, there are many challenges as well as opportunities that need to be focused on to achieve the goals and tasks, and requested that the Hanoi Trade Union and the political system strongly participate in digital transformation, apply science and technology, and have many innovations and creativity in activities.

The Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit of the Trade Union to outstanding individuals in the emulation movement.

At the same time, there are new and creative methods and approaches to create the mark, color and unique image of the City Trade Union. Thereby, creating trust and attachment of union members, civil servants and employees to the Trade Union organization.

The immediate key task is to seriously implement Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee on "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently". Accordingly, the Trade Union organization needs to participate in propaganda and raise awareness of union members and civil servants.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the City Labor Federation, Chairman of the City Trade Union Nguyen Chinh Huu said that in the coming time, the City Trade Union will closely follow the work contents to excellently complete the tasks and goals of the Trade Union organization.

Along with that, we will continue to innovate and maintain activities with a spirit of dedication and responsibility; taking workers as the center, grasping the thoughts and aspirations of workers to ensure good care for the lives of union members and employees in the city.

The City Civil Servants' Union organized the program Tet Sum Vay - Spring Gratitude to the Party, giving support to workers in difficult circumstances.

At the conference, the Organizing Committee awarded the Commemorative Medal for the cause of building the Trade Union organization of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to individuals who are Trade Union officials; awarded the Emulation Flag and Certificate of Merit of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to collectives with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement.

At the same time, the City Labor Federation also awarded Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit to outstanding collectives and individuals in the emulation movement. There were 6 collectives and 71 outstanding individuals in the emulation movement who received Certificates of Merit from the City Labor Federation.

The Trade Union has given support to 105 union members and employees in difficult circumstances with a total amount of 157 million VND.
