Kon Tum: Organizing many activities at Cultural Week

(Fatherland) - The Culture - Tourism Week and Gong and Xoang Festival of ethnic minorities in Kon Tum province are organized to contribute to preserving and honoring the national cultural identity in the area.

On October 31, information from the People's Committee of Kon Tum province said that it had issued Decision No. 700/QD-UBND on the establishment of the Organizing Committee of the 5th Culture - Tourism Week and the 2nd Gong and Xoang Festival of Ethnic Minorities in Kon Tum province in 2024.

According to the Decision, the Organizing Committee of the Culture - Tourism Week and Gong Festival is headed by Ms. Y Ngoc, Vice Chairman of Kon Tum Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Van Binh, Director of Kon Tum Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is Deputy Head. The members are Heads of a number of provincial agencies and units and Chairmen of District and City People's Committees.

The Organizing Committee of the Cultural - Tourism Week and the Gong and Xoang Festival is responsible for directing the comprehensive implementation of the contents and tasks related to the organization of the Cultural - Tourism Week and the Gong and Xoang Festival within its assigned functions and tasks.

Kon Tum Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is the standing agency of the Organizing Committee: Presides over and coordinates with relevant agencies, units and localities to advise and organize the implementation of tasks according to plan; at the same time, monitors, urges, proposes and reports on the results of organizing the Culture - Tourism Week and Gong and Xoang Festival according to regulations...

As planned, the 5th Kon Tum Province Culture - Tourism Week and the 2nd Kon Tum Province Gong and Xoang Festival in 2024 are expected to take place from December 11-14 in Kon Tum city and some localities in the province.

This is a cultural - tourism activity, preserving and promoting traditional cultural values, typical of the ethnic groups in Kon Tum province. Continuing to honor and promote to domestic and international friends the potential, economic development, culture, tourism of Kon Tum province in the process of integration and development, contributing to preserving and honoring the national cultural identity, contributing to the task of building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable development of the country.
