Celebrating the first anniversary of the founding of the Truong Sa Club in Hungary

Club members together recalled moments filled with happiness and pride about the homeland's sea and islands, the sacred and profound memories and emotions about Truong Sa.

On June 27, Truong Sa Club in Hungary held a meeting to celebrate its 1st anniversary.

Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao, Embassy officials who participated in delegations to Truong Sa, and leaders of Vietnamese associations and delegations in Hungary attended the event.

The club members together recalled the moments filled with happiness and pride in the homeland's sea and islands, the memories and sacred, profound emotions about Truong Sa when they directly participated in the delegations visiting Truong Sa organized by the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese in coordination with the Vietnam Navy. From 2014 to now, there have been more than 20 overseas Vietnamese from Hungary participating in the trips to Truong Sa.

Reviewing the activities of the past year, the club's leaders were pleased with the increasing number of members, the club's activities were put into practice through practical actions, spreading the love for the homeland's sea and islands of Vietnam in the Vietnamese community in Hungary, calling for community contributions to the program "The whole country for Truong Sa".

The two newest members of Truong Sa Club, Mr. Dinh Le Bau and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khoa, were honored to represent overseas Vietnamese in Hungary to join the 11th working group to visit and encourage the people and soldiers of Truong Sa archipelago in 2024. They shared about the sacred moments and unforgettable impressions when setting foot on the remote islands of the Fatherland during the trip, and the beautiful memories of the journey with the working group.

On behalf of the Truong Sa Club and the Vietnamese community in Hungary, the two men presented a gift from the Club and overseas Vietnamese from Hungary, amounting to 3,000 Euros (equivalent to 81 million VND) to the program "The whole country for Truong Sa".

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Nguyen Thi Bich Thao highly appreciated the meaningful activities of the Truong Sa Hungary Club in the past year, acknowledged the deep affection for Truong Sa of the Club members after each trip, especially welcomed the enthusiasm and positive spirit of the members in meaningful actions, spreading love for the homeland, the sea and islands to the Vietnamese people in Hungary, strengthening the firm belief in firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands, and being attached to the homeland.

The Ambassador encouraged and hoped that in the coming time, the Club would have more members, always be united and have more practical actions, calling for support and joint contributions from the overseas Vietnamese community to the cause of protecting and developing the sea and islands of the homeland Vietnam.
