The 2025 high school graduation exam will take place over two days from June 26 to 27. This year, the entire Quang Tri province has 27 exam sites with 9,228 candidates registered to take the exam. Of which, 8,943 candidates will take the exam under the 2018 General Education Program; 285 candidates will take the exam under the 2006 General Education Program.

Candidates taking the 2018 General Education Program will only take 3 sessions with 4 subjects, including: Compulsory Math, Literature and 2 elective subjects from the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Technology - Industrial Orientation and Technology - Agricultural Orientation. Candidates taking the 2006 General Education Program will have to take 4 sessions with 6 subjects, including: Math, Literature, Foreign Language, Natural Science exam (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or Social Science exam (History, Geography, Civic Education).

The Department of Education and Training has mobilized 1,500 teachers for exam invigilation, 220 service staff, 200 security guards, 60 medical staff and arranged an additional 200 teachers for reinforcement. At the same time, teams were established to inspect the preparation and organization of the exam; and teams to inspect the protection of exam papers and test papers.

Talking to reporters, Head of the Department of Quality Management - Information Technology, Quang Tri Department of Education and Training Thai Thi Hoa Ly said that previously, Quang Tri Department of Education and Training had deployed training on organizing the 2025 high school graduation exam for all officers and teachers participating in the exam to thoroughly grasp the exam regulations, what to do, and general principles. Officers and teachers participating in the exam are required to be present at the exam site on time to perform their duties.

While performing the task of invigilating, it is not allowed to bring information transmitting and receiving devices; not to do personal work, not to smoke, not to use alcoholic beverages and not to leave the examination room during the entire time of the test. In particular, it is necessary to disseminate to the candidates the regulations on protecting state secrets with the test. All situations during the exam must be handled in accordance with the regulations and assigned duties.

For candidates, Ms. Hoa Ly noted that according to regulations, candidates are allowed to bring into the exam room pens; rulers; pencils; erasers; squares; graphing rulers; drawing tools; handheld calculators without text editing functions and without memory cards. Check the calculator carefully to ensure it has enough battery. Do not borrow strange calculators that you are not familiar with.

In addition, candidates should have a wristwatch to check and allocate time appropriately for the exam. Absolutely do not bring mobile phones into the exam room to check the time. Candidates are not allowed to bring weapons, explosives, flammable substances, alcoholic beverages, carbon paper, erasers, documents, communication devices or information that can be used to cheat during the exam and the grading process. Before taking the exam, candidates must write their registration number and information on the exam paper, exam paper, multiple choice answer sheet, and scratch paper.

In addition to knowledge, you need to prepare your health and mentality well.

According to Master of Psychology Nguyen Thi Diem, lecturer at Quang Tri Pedagogical College, to successfully complete the exam that takes place over many days, candidates not only need to be equipped with good knowledge but also need to prepare physically and mentally. A particularly important factor is to master the regulations, avoiding unfortunate mistakes that may occur. At this time, candidates should not stay up all night to study, should relax their minds, and go to bed early. Parents should prepare breakfast at home for candidates before going to the exam site, avoiding the possibility of health effects from outside food.

“After each exam, candidates often spend a lot of time discussing the previous exam, which leads to a bad mentality for the next exam. Therefore, after taking a test, candidates should not pay too much attention to that exam but should focus on the next exam. When taking the exam, candidates should do it very carefully. For multiple-choice exams, you must fill in the multiple-choice boxes very carefully,” Ms. Diem said.

When receiving the exam, you must carefully check the number of pages, the quality of each printed page and the exam code on each page to ensure consistency (for multiple-choice subjects); if you discover that the exam is missing pages or is torn, damaged, smudged, or faded, you must immediately notify the invigilator, no later than 5 minutes from the start of the exam time. For essay exams, candidates are allowed to leave the exam room after 2/3 of the exam time and must submit their exam papers, exam papers, and scratch paper before leaving the exam room or exam area; for multiple-choice exams, candidates are not allowed to leave the exam room.

“In the previous exam, some candidates forgot the necessary documents to complete the exam procedures, leading to a loss of composure when entering the exam room. Therefore, before the exam day, candidates should prepare necessary documents such as exam notice, citizen identification card... and put them in a file bag to avoid unfortunate mistakes. I wish the candidates will be confident and brave to conquer the 2025 high school graduation exam,” said Ms. Hoa Ly.
