After his son’s historic victory at Intervision 2025, Mr. Nguyen Van Trung - father of singer Duc Phuc - shared his emotional thoughts on social media. Unable to hide his pride, Mr. Trung expressed his deep gratitude to those who changed his son’s fate.
"It would be a mistake if I did not say these things with gratitude from the bottom of my heart," Mr. Trung wrote in the letter. With 10 years of artistic activities full of ups and downs, Duc Phuc has achieved many milestones in his career, but the victory at the international competition Intervision 2025 is considered by him to be the most important milestone, of national scale.

What moved Mr. Trung the most was the role of My Tam - whom he called "a person with heart and vision". In his letter, he emphasized that the singer's "click" at The Voice 2015 completely changed Duc Phuc's fate.
"That click changed the fate of a person, that is Duc Phuc today. Talking about the teacher-student relationship and the teachings and training that Ms. Tam gave Duc Phuc, no pen or ink can describe it, only those involved can understand it," Mr. Trung wrote.
Not only stopping at My Tam, Mr. Trung also mentioned the important role of musician Ho Hoai Anh in his son's journey. According to him, in the preliminary round in the North of The Voice 2015, Duc Phuc was eliminated by another musician. It seemed that his musical dream would end, but musician Ho Hoai Anh's "click" opened up the opportunity to audition for Duc Phuc.
"Thanks to musician Ho Hoai Anh's selection, Duc Phuc had the opportunity to audition for The Voice 2015," Mr. Trung shared. What's special is that musician Ho Hoai Anh is the author of the song Phu Dong Thien Vuong - the song that brought Duc Phuc to glory at Intervision 2025.
In the letter, Mr. Trung emphasized teaching his children to follow the religion of "remembering the source of water when drinking". "Throughout the 10 years of artistic activities, to achieve those successes, in addition to the sacrifice of personal pleasures of youth, passion and dedication of Duc Phuc, in addition to the great contributions of Ms. My Tam and Mr. Ho Hoai Anh, there is also the cooperation of many partners and friends", he wrote and together with his family, sincerely thank everyone.
On the morning of September 21, 2025 at Live Arena, on the outskirts of Moscow, Russia, Duc Phuc created a miracle when he was crowned Intervision 2025 Champion, winning a prestigious prize including a crystal trophy and 30 million rubles (about 360,000 USD, equivalent to more than 9 billion VND).
Duc Phuc - representing Vietnam - performed in 20th place, conquering more than 6,000 audiences with the performance Phu Dong Thien Vuong inspired by the image of Thanh Giong and the poem Tre Viet Nam by Nguyen Duy. Combining folk music with contemporary rap in three languages: Vietnamese, English and Russian, with elaborate staging using bamboo props, conical hats and traditional costumes.
A touching highlight was Duc Phuc's announcement that he would donate part of his prize money to charity in Russia. This gesture was praised by the Russian press as a "beautiful and sincere act", reinforcing Intervision's image as a "stage of friendship between nations".
