To have a spectacular performance in the Intervision 2025 Competition in the Russian Federation, singer Duc Phuc boldly invested billions of dong.
Having just returned to Vietnam, singer Duc Phuc met with the press on the afternoon of September 27 in Hanoi , sharing about his journey to conquer the Intervision 2025 championship title.
According to the male singer, the contest organizers cover the costs of food, accommodation, and travel for each country's representative team of 10 people, but Duc Phuc's team alone has 16-17 people.
The most expensive investment is for stage effects. The fire effects alone (10 fire generators) for three days (stage test, mock and official) cost 2 billion VND.
At first, when he heard the price, the singer was "shocked" because he did not think it would cost that much. However, because he wanted to have the most perfect performance overall, and moreover, Duc Phuc thought that participating in this prestigious international music competition was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, he decided to "play big."
The male singer believes that a good, attractive performance must have a combination of vocals, performance, stage, lighting and visual effects.
"During practice, I heard representatives from more than 20 countries sing like 'opening a record'. My voice is not as good as theirs. I wondered how I would make up for it," Duc Phuc shared.
So the singer and crew discussed carefully to create a three-minute performance that would continuously surprise the audience and, importantly, must be imbued with the culture, spirit, and aspirations of the Vietnamese people.
Duc Phuc also revealed that he will donate 1 billion VND to domestic charity funds as a way to celebrate his victory and 10 years of meaningful work.
Previously, on September 26, Duc Phuc received a certificate of merit from the Prime Minister for his outstanding achievement in winning the championship of this international music competition./.
