Construction package of component project 1 of Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway, section passing through An Giang province, is in charge of Thanh Huy Group Joint Stock Company.

Giao thong Newspaper reporters recorded that on the second day of Tet, there were 90 workers and 70 machines and equipment operating continuously in a busy, bustling atmosphere.

The Hue Duc Canal Bridge in Vinh Hoa 1 Hamlet, Vinh Nhuan Commune, Chau Thanh District ( An Giang ) has basically achieved the set progress.

The working atmosphere during Tet holiday of workers at the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway construction site managed by Thanh Huy Group Joint Stock Company is very bustling and hurried.

This is the first bridge to have its girder placed on the entire Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway in mid-January 2024.

It is expected that on the 6th day of Tet, Thanh Huy Group Joint Stock Company will continue to launch the third span girder of this bridge with the efforts of the team of engineers and workers working on the spring construction site.

Mr. Do Hoang Nhanh, technical officer of Thanh Huy Group Joint Stock Company, said that since mid-August 2023, he has been present at the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway construction package, which Thanh Huy Group Joint Stock Company is in charge of, up to now.

He could only go home to visit his family once every few months. However, due to the company’s requirements and his sense of responsibility in implementing the Western Expressway, he asked to stay at the construction site to work during Tet.

Many workers asked to stay at the construction site with the hope of contributing their efforts to speeding up the construction progress of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway project.

Mr. Nhanh said: "The working atmosphere during Tet holiday at the contract package managed by Thanh Huy Group Joint Stock Company is very busy. The workers at the construction site work very responsibly and try their best to complete the assigned work."

While working busily at the Kenh Ngang Hue Duc bridge as assigned by the company, Mr. Tran Hoang Em (36 years old, living in An Giang province) excitedly said: "Since being assigned to work during Tet until now, the workers have been working in a very comfortable mood and trying to complete the assigned work.

I have this feeling because Thanh Huy Group Corporation has a very generous treatment policy for its workers. Anyone who stays to work during Tet will receive three times the salary compared to normal days."

Be prepared, thoughtful

Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Construction Site Manager, Thanh Huy Group Joint Stock Company said that in the four construction packages of component project 1 of the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway, the section passing through An Giang province, Thanh Huy Group Joint Stock Company is in charge of package number 44.

This package is 12.5km long, including 9 bridges and three box culverts. Up to now, the contractor has organized workers to construct two bridges, the Hue Duc Ngang Canal and the Dong 2 Canal.

The efforts of the contractor are helping package No. 44 managed by Thanh Huy Group Corporation to achieve 17.5% progress, exceeding nearly 6% of the requirements set by the investor.

To ensure effective construction throughout Tet, the company has mobilized sufficient materials to the construction site so that workers can carry out the work related to the bridges included in the package.

"Currently, there are 90 workers working at the construction site, organized into three teams by the company to perform different tasks.

Arranging to work during Tet, Thanh Huy Group Corporation fully prepares human resources and equipment with the desire to achieve the highest efficiency.

Specifically, team 1 will carry out the work of placing the crossbeams of the Kenh Ngang Hue Duc bridge. Team 2 will carry out the work of drilling piles for the Kenh Dong 2 bridge. And team 3 will carry out the steps related to placing the girders of the 3rd span of the Kenh Ngang Hue Duc bridge on the 6th day of the upcoming Lunar New Year," added Mr. Tuan.

According to Mr. Tuan, despite working during Tet, the spirit, responsibility and efforts of the workers at the construction site are very high. All are aiming to speed up the project progress and complete it as planned.

Mr. Tuan informed: "Currently, due to lack of sand, the company has only been able to build the public roadbed, the main roadbed has only been built for about 1km.

On the 4th day of the Lunar New Year, the sand supplier will supply about 400m3/day. This quantity is still insufficient because the daily demand for the Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang expressway construction package implemented by the company is from 3,000-5,000m3.

The Chau Doc - Can Tho - Soc Trang Expressway Project Phase 1 has a total length of 188.2km, passing through 4 provinces and cities: An Giang, Can Tho, Hau Giang and Soc Trang. The starting point connects National Highway 91 in Chau Doc city (An Giang) and the end point intersects with Nam Song Hau National Highway, connecting the access road to Tran De port (Soc Trang), with a total investment of 44,691 billion VND. The entire route is expected to be completed and put into use in 2027.
Of which, component project 1 in An Giang province is 57.2km long, component project 2 in Can Tho city is 37.2km long, component project 3 in Hau Giang province is nearly 37km long and component project 4 in Soc Trang province is 56.9km long.
In phase 1, the project will be invested in a 4-lane scale, with a design speed of 100km/h. In the completed phase, the project will be invested in a 6-lane scale.
