Attending the meeting were representatives of leaders of relevant departments and branches and representatives of three main network operators: Lam Dong Telecommunications, Viettel Lam Dong and Mobifone Lam Dong.

According to the report of the Department of Science and Technology, Lam Dong province's telecommunications infrastructure has achieved many remarkable results. The whole province currently has 12,004 mobile base transceiver stations (BTS), of which 290 5G stations have been deployed.

The BTS station system is increasingly expanding, effectively serving communication needs, contributing significantly to digital transformation and socio -economic development.

However, in addition to positive results, the development of telecommunications infrastructure still faces many barriers. Telecommunications enterprises are facing difficulties in building and installing BTS stations on public property and in leasing land.
The problem is further complicated when building telecommunications infrastructure on mountain passes, especially the provision of electricity infrastructure. The solution of using solar energy is only temporary because of high investment costs, unstable power supply due to lack of light and difficulties in building power stations.

On the other hand, the situation of some individuals and entities opposing and obstructing the installation of new BTS stations still occurs due to a lack of full awareness of the importance of telecommunications infrastructure for general development.

Currently, although 100% of villages and hamlets have mobile broadband signals at the central location (cultural houses), signal dips still exist in remote residential areas.

In his concluding remarks, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Phuc requested that units promptly complete the plan to eliminate signal gaps across the province, aiming for 100% of villages and hamlets to have access to sustainable digital transformation. This is a strategic task to contribute to promoting socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the area.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Phuc assigned specific responsibilities to relevant departments and branches to coordinate in removing difficulties for businesses, resolving problems related to land lease and electricity supply for BTS stations.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized the need to step up propaganda work so that people can clearly understand the meaning and importance of developing telecommunications infrastructure. The ultimate goal is to build Lam Dong into a locality with a synchronous, modern and sustainable telecommunications coverage system, creating a solid foundation for the comprehensive digital transformation process.
