Spreading patriotic emulation spirit in Vinh Long

During the past term, Vinh Long province had 993 collectives awarded the Provincial Emulation Flag, 5,719 collectives achieved the title of Excellent Labor Collective, and 2,171 individuals were recognized as Provincial Emulation Fighters.

Awarding certificates of merit to outstanding groups and individuals

On September 29, the People's Committee of Vinh Long province organized the first Provincial Patriotic Emulation Congress, period 2025-2030. The Congress aimed to summarize and evaluate the results of the patriotic emulation movement and commendation work in the period 2020-2025, and at the same time set out directions and tasks for the new journey.

Attending the congress were Ms. Ho Thi Hoang Yen, Standing Deputy Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Commendation Committee, and 430 typical and advanced delegates, representing sectors, fields, ethnic groups, religions and localities in the province.

Overview of the congress

In his opening speech, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Reward Council, emphasized: Over the past 5 years, Vinh Long has carried out patriotic emulation movements in the context of both fighting the Covid-19 pandemic and recovering and accelerating socio -economic development; at the same time, arranging and streamlining the administrative apparatus, merging boundaries to form a new Vinh Long province, building a 2-level local government model. In the midst of difficulties and challenges, emulation movements have become a driving force, spreading widely, creating a vibrant atmosphere among cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and people of all walks of life.

During the past term, the province had 993 collectives awarded the Provincial Emulation Flag, 5,719 collectives achieved the title of Excellent Labor Collective, 2,171 individuals were recognized as Provincial Emulation Fighters. In addition, 55,777 collectives and individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. At the State level, 167 collectives were awarded the Government's Emulation Flag, 4,288 cases received Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister , 591 Medals of various types and 13 individuals achieved the title of National Emulation Fighter.

Individuals with outstanding achievements were awarded certificates of merit.

The presentations at the congress shared many valuable experiences such as building new rural areas, participating in the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", results in reforming the administrative apparatus, as well as creative examples in production and socio-economic development. These experiences are not only the achievements of the 2020-2025 period, but also lessons for the province to effectively implement the National Target Program on New Rural Construction for the 2026-2030 period and other major movements.

The congress also commended and honored many outstanding collectives and individuals. In particular, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 47 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement in the recent period. At the same time, the congress unanimously elected a provincial delegation to attend the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.
