Spreading the sports spirit in the banking industry

This is the first time the Banking industry has organized a regional sports festival, gathering nearly 600 athletes from more than 40 credit institutions and banks in 3 provinces. The festival is an opportunity for athletes to demonstrate their talents and abilities, exchange, learn, strengthen solidarity, and compete to successfully complete the political tasks of the industry and each locality.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Pham Thanh Ha, Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam , emphasized: The Regional III Banking Industry Sports Congress is a practical activity responding to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", contributing to fostering patriotism, love for the industry, love for the profession, building a dynamic and healthy working environment in the entire banking system.

During the 3 days of competition from October 17 to 19, athletes competed enthusiastically in 6 sports: Soccer, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess and pickleball. To ensure the progress and quality of the tournament, the Organizing Committee arranged convenient competition venues, fully meeting the requirements of grounds, equipment, logistics, security and medical care . The competition contents were deployed scientifically, methodically, under the impartial, objective and lawful management of the referee team.

With a professional competitive spirit, the athletes have contributed to many exciting matches, beautiful moves and dramatic competitions. In table tennis, soccer and pickleball, the audience witnessed technical counter-attacks; in Chinese chess, there were tense intellectual battles, calculating each move; and in badminton, there were thrilling and suspenseful moves until the last minute. The exciting atmosphere, the enthusiastic cheers of the audience and the explosive celebrations when the teams won in the final round created a passionate, united and emotional sporting atmosphere, leaving many beautiful impressions in the hearts of the participants.

Mr. Dang Viet Duy, a football player at Loc Phat Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Dien Bien Branch, in Group 6, shared: To prepare for this Congress, we have practiced for many weeks in advance, from tactics, techniques to physical strength. All the athletes in the group competed with all their might, especially the cheering and encouragement of the fans gave the athletes more strength. Delegation No. 8 - Social Policy Bank of Son La province participated in this year's Sports Festival with a total of 95 athletes competing in 6 events. After 3 days of competition, with outstanding achievements in the number of first prizes with 39 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals and 20 Bronze Medals, the delegation won the first prize. Mr. Le Thai Ha, Deputy Director, Chairman of the Trade Union of Social Policy Bank of Son La province, Head of Delegation No. 8 excitedly shared: The first prize of the delegation is a great motivation for our delegation to continue to maintain and develop the unit's sports movement.
