City leaders visit and give Mid-Autumn gifts to disadvantaged children in Da Nang

DNO - On the morning of October 2, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh visited and presented gifts to children at the Center for Raising Children in Difficult Situations in Da Nang City (Hope Village) and the Da Nang Social Protection Center on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2025.

The Center for Raising Children in Difficult Situations (under the Association for the Protection of Poor Women and Children of Da Nang City) is currently raising and caring for more than 121 orphans, hearing-impaired children and children from especially difficult family circumstances.

The children live in a safe, green, clean and beautiful "house" of Hope Village and learn knowledge, ethics education and comprehensive life skills .

They all make efforts and overcome difficulties to study and practice. Many of them achieve high results in exams, competitions and competitions at all levels.

Da Nang Social Protection Center (under the Department of Health ) is currently managing, caring for and nurturing 209 subjects (including 36 children).

All children are well cared for and have regular access to necessary medical services.

Children of school age are all sent to school in the community, supported with tuition fees, uniforms, and full skills and extracurricular activities, thereby ensuring their rights to study, play, entertain, and develop comprehensively.

At the places he visited, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh kindly inquired about the health of the children, wished them a happy Mid-Autumn Festival; and at the same time praised the teachers, officers, civil servants and workers at the Centers for taking good care of and educating the children in the past time.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh suggested that in the coming time, local authorities continue to coordinate and create favorable conditions for the activities of the Centers; requested teachers, officers, civil servants and employees of the Centers to continue to implement the motto "Discipline - Love - Responsibility - Quality - Efficiency"; focus on educating ethics, lifestyle, life skills for students...

* As part of the "Mid-Autumn Festival for Children" activities in 2025, the City's Trade Union at all levels organized many Mid-Autumn Festival programs, giving gifts to children of union members, workers, and civil servants in the city.

On the evening of October 1, Hai Chau Ward Labor Union organized the program "Full Moon Festival Night" in 2025 for children of union members and workers. Vice President of the City Labor Federation Le Van Dai attended and sent wishes for a happy and warm Mid-Autumn Festival to the children; hoping that they will always be good and study well.

At the program, nearly 200 children enjoyed the Mid-Autumn Festival, watching magic shows, lion dances, performing arts and breaking the cake. The organizers gave away nearly 200 gifts with a total value of more than 54 million VND, contributing to bringing a complete Mid-Autumn Festival to the children.

* The City Labor Federation has just awarded 70 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts, each worth 300,000 VND, to children of union members and workers living at the Hoa Cam Industrial Park Workers' Housing.

* Dien Ban Ward Union recently visited and presented gifts to 10 union member families with disabled children or children with serious illnesses. Each gift includes cash and gifts worth 300,000 VND, supported by a philanthropist in the ward.
