This is a meaningful activity, full of military-civilian sentiment, bringing joy to children in remote areas on the border of the Fatherland. The officers and soldiers joined hands to organize a loving Mid-Autumn Festival for the children.

At Dat Mui Border Guard Station, the Border - Mid-Autumn Festival program took place with the participation of 600 disadvantaged children from kindergartens and primary schools in the commune. With love and the desire to bring a Mid-Autumn Festival full of childhood to children, the soldiers of Dat Mui Border Guard Station coordinated with the locality and the "Unnamed" volunteer group from Ho Chi Minh City to build a diverse and lively program.

The children's faces lit up when participating in the program.

Many meaningful activities brought smiles and happiness to the children. The stage was set up in the middle of the border post, the folk games were both interesting and useful with countless attractive gifts on display. The children enjoyed participating in the festival activities.

Major Pham Nam Son, Political Commissar of Dat Mui Border Guard Station, shared: “At the program, the children had a joyful and healthy Mid-Autumn Festival with cultural and artistic activities and folk games. Through this, we created motivation and confidence for the children to strive to study and excel.”

Mr. Nguyen Quang Tan, head of the "Unnamed" volunteer group, said: "We want to have a combination between the military and the people, wholeheartedly sharing charity with the poor people and children in Dat Mui commune. We organize the program with many warm activities: Children receive Mid-Autumn gifts, lanterns, school supplies or backpacks; and adults receive rice and necessities."

Nutritious meals are prepared for the children after participating in the games.

Mid-Autumn Festival in the border areas is not only an occasion for sharing, but also a traditional educational activity, helping the young generation in the border areas love the country more and trust the soldiers who are protecting the Fatherland's borders day and night.

Not only gifts, laughter, joy, the Border - Mid-Autumn Festival program is also filled with the word "reunion". Border guards and the volunteer group "Unnamed" helped two orphaned children, To Thai Huynh and To Thien Nhan, reunite with their father after many months apart. Due to difficult circumstances, To Van Tam (the two children's father) had to work as a construction worker in Ho Chi Minh City. His meager salary was only enough to send home for his two children to pay for their rent and schooling, so visiting them regularly was a luxury dream for him.

Mr. To Van Tam emotionally said: "This year's Mid-Autumn Festival, I am both emotional and happy because there have been many Mid-Autumn Festivals, and my two children could not fully enjoy them. I thank the soldiers and philanthropists who have helped my family."

The gifts given, the smiles left, 600 children enjoyed a warm and reunited Mid-Autumn Festival. Adults also had their hardships lessened with gifts of rice bags full of love . The image of Uncle Ho's soldiers enjoying the Mid-Autumn Festival with children has become a beautiful symbol of the spirit of "serving the people". Each moon season that passes, the relationship between the army and the people becomes stronger, together protecting the border firmly, so that the Mid-Autumn Festival moon will always shine brightly in all parts of the country.

Mr. Tang Thien Tinh, Vice Chairman of Dat Mui Commune People's Committee, commented: "This is a very meaningful program, not only creating a playground but also helping children have a joyful and loving Mid-Autumn Festival. With the gifts received, I hope that the children will see this as a motivation to strive to study, become good children and good students."
