Lao Cai organizes a conference to connect agricultural and forestry import-export enterprises in China.

On August 19 and 21, the Vietnam-China Business Connection Conference on Import-Export of Agricultural, Forestry and Fruit Products with the participation of over 100 businesses from Vietnam and China took place in Kunming city, Yunnan province and Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province (China).

This is an activity within the trade promotion program of the 25th Vietnam - China International Trade Fair ( Lao Cai ) in 2025, combined with the organization of a delegation of Vietnamese agricultural, forestry and fruit enterprises to trade and survey the markets of Yunnan province and Zhejiang province (China), chaired and organized by the Center for Investment Promotion, Trade and Enterprise Support of Lao Cai province.

Attending the conference were leaders of a number of relevant departments and units of Lao Cai province, including: Finance, Industry and Trade, Foreign Affairs, Provincial People's Committee Office, Provincial Center for Investment Promotion, Trade and Enterprise Support.

Speaking at the conferences, Deputy Director of the Center for Investment Promotion, Trade and Enterprise Support of Lao Cai Province Nguyen Thai Hoa emphasized: This is a meaningful event for state management agencies, organizations and enterprises of Vietnam and China, aiming to enhance economic cooperation and exchange, connect trade, support each other for development; is an opportunity for enterprises to find partners, expand markets and sign memorandums of understanding on business cooperation and consumption of valuable products.

According to Mr. Hoa, in recent times, Lao Cai province has made continuous efforts with the authorities at all levels of Yunnan province (China) to exchange and cooperate to remove difficulties for businesses, promote trade cooperation between the two sides, contributing to promoting the economic and trade cooperation between Vietnam and China to develop stably, balanced and sustainably.

In particular, ensuring that customs clearance activities and the supply chain of goods through border gates are maintained stably, smoothly and conveniently; enhancing cooperation and information sharing in the fields of customs clearance at border gates, traceability, border trade and development of goods markets.

At the conference, representatives of Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises expressed their satisfaction with the opportunity to exchange and find new partners. Enterprises exchanged, discussed, learned, promoted brands, products, and services; learned business experience, transferred technology; sought partners and connected between traditional trade, e-commerce, and digital trade.

Mr. Nguyen Viet Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance, affirmed that Lao Cai province is committed to always accompanying the business community of both sides, creating the most favorable conditions in terms of infrastructure, administrative procedures, improving customs clearance capacity and the quality of logistics services to support businesses coming to Lao Cai.
