Seeking opinions on building 4 major projects in the fields of culture, sports and tourism

On the morning of October 23, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Phong organized a conference combining face-to-face and online meetings with the participation of representatives of departments, branches, agencies, units, 114 wards, communes and special zones across the city to exchange, discuss and seek opinions for the development of 4 major projects in the fields of culture, sports and tourism.

The projects include: "Building Hai Phong into a Music City in the period 2026 - 2030, with a vision to 2045"; "Developing physical training and sports in Hai Phong City by 2030, with a vision to 2045"; "Developing football in Hai Phong City by 2030, with a vision to 2045" and "Overall project for tourism development in Hai Phong City by 2030, with a vision to 2045".

The conference is connected to communes, wards and special zones in the city.

The development of 4 projects aims to concretize the policies and resolutions of the Central Government, City Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee on the development of Hai Phong culture and people in the new period, associated with the goal of making culture, sports and tourism become important pillars in the city's sustainable development strategy.

The project “Hai Phong - City of Music” is a highlight, aiming to bring Hai Phong into the network of UNESCO creative cities in the field of music. The project affirms that Hai Phong has all the conditions to become the center of music creation in the Northern region - a place where traditional, contemporary and international music values converge and spread. Music is considered a means of educating people, nurturing the soul, morality, arousing pride and creativity, and at the same time becoming a driving force for the development of the cultural industry, promoting the image of the city "Seaport - civilized - creative - integrated".

The project to develop physical training and sports focuses on improving people's health and stature, building a widespread mass sports movement, developing high-performance sports, aiming to make Hai Phong a strong sports center of the Northern coastal region and the whole country.

The Hai Phong football development project aims to reaffirm the position of "Port City - football city", synchronously developing from professional football to youth football, grassroots movements, towards building a comprehensive football ecosystem, linking sports with culture and tourism.

The overall project for tourism development in Hai Phong city identifies the goal of building Hai Phong - Hai Duong into a unified center of sea tourism, culture and heritage at the regional and international level, with Cat Ba - Do Son - Con Son - Kiep Bac as the mainstay, aiming to develop green tourism, smart and sustainable tourism.

Delegates attending the conference assessed the simultaneous implementation of four projects demonstrating the strategic and comprehensive vision of Hai Phong city in developing the cultural, sports and tourism industry, creating a foundation for Hai Phong to become a cultural, sports and tourism center of the Northern coastal region, while raising the city's position in the world's network of creative cities.
