The highlight of this year's Festival is the Opening Art Program "Space Bridge", recreating the journey connecting the past, present and future of Ho Chi Minh City through a live music and dance stage combining cinema, circus and modern performance technology with a science fiction theme.

Along with the opening ceremony are water sports activities, traditional boat racing, activities to stimulate waterway tourism, shopping promotions and regional linkage programs, light model boat shows... promising to attract a large number of domestic and foreign tourists.

Last September, the Ho Chi Minh City River Festival 2024 won 2 Gold Awards at the 2025 International Business Awards (IBA). IBA is part of the prestigious Stevie Awards system in the US, considered the "Oscars for the economic sector". The 2 Gold Awards include: Art, Entertainment & Public Festival and Cultural Event for the impressive opening art program "Legendary Train" - recreating the development process of the city, where rivers and canals play a central role in trade and culture.
