What's interesting about this year's Southern Fruit Festival?

On the morning of May 21, Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Area and the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organizations held the opening ceremony of the 20th Southern Fruit Festival - Suoi Tien Farm Festival 2024.

Ms. Bui Thi To Trinh, Deputy General Director of Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Joint Stock Company, said that the 20th Southern Fruit Festival with the theme "Happy Farming Journey" will take place from June 1 to August 31.

The 20th Fruit Festival is expected to increase visitors by about 20%.

This is a cultural and tourism event, aiming to introduce to visitors the unique, rich and diverse varieties of tropical fruits.

In addition, the festival is also an occasion to honor the achievements of farmers in the agricultural sector, contributing to preserving the unique art of fruit sculpture, promoting the cultural identity of the Vietnamese people.

Ms. To Trinh added that the 19th Southern Fruit Festival welcomed more than 1.5 million visitors during the summer. This year, the number of visitors is expected to increase by about 20%, of which the number of foreign tourists will increase by about 40%.

The innovation in the 2024 Fruit Festival is that there will be new activities for visitors to interact such as: a series of activities to join hands to protect the green environment, promote and introduce local agricultural products (OCOP1)...

There are also special activities, fruit parade "Suoi Tien Farm - Turning the waves to reach integration", introducing unique fruit collections, specialty fruit market, fruit art contest, bonsai festival, special art programs...

Tourists enjoy the garden "Suoi Tien Farm - Green agricultural tourism model" with an area of ​​over 5 hectares with more than 30 plant varieties originating from countries around the world .

On this occasion, Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Area coordinated to inaugurate the "Friendship Garden" with the participation of consulates from 27 countries.

On Children's Day June 1st, there was the participation of Vietnam - ASEAN Friendship Association, Vietnam - India, Vietnam - Indonesia, Vietnam - Cambodia... along with special art exchange programs.

All will bring multinational colors to the festival season, enhancing internationalization and enhancing the friendship and cooperation between the people of Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.

On the occasion of International Children's Day June 1, Suoi Tien Cultural Tourism Area offers 100% free entrance tickets for children under 1.4 m accompanied by their parents and a 50% discount on entrance tickets for all children visiting in groups or schools.

From June 2 to August 30, 50% discount on entrance tickets for excellent students with original certificates in the 2023-2024 school year.
