Da Lat Flower Festival 2024 expected to attract 2 million tourists

The 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival, aiming at national and international scale, will take place within 1 month from December 5 to December 31, and is expected to help Lam Dong province attract 2 million tourists with total revenue of up to 3,600 billion VND.

On the afternoon of November 7, in Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee held a press conference on the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival with the theme "Da Lat Flowers - Symphony of Colors".

At the press conference, Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, said that with the theme "Da Lat Flowers - Symphony of Colors", Da Lat Flower Festival 2024 is a cultural - tourism festival promoting the image of culture, people and tourism of Da Lat - Lam Dong to domestic and international tourists.

The festival, which takes place for 1 month from December 5 to December 31, is expected to help Lam Dong attract 2 million tourists with total revenue of up to 3,600 billion VND.

This year's festival includes many programs such as flower space, international workshop "Da Lat develops green tourism and cultural industry from diverse natural resources and local culture", exhibition, introduction and promotion of OCOP products.

Wine - tea - coffee and specialty street, Dalat vegetable - flower market, a miraculous crystallization from the good land, international cultural and artistic exchange Dalat - Chuncheon (Korea) and Flower and Heritage street carnival...

Through this, affirming Da Lat city and the Flower Festival city of Vietnam, a creative city in the music field of UNESCO and a city in the "Group of 5 impressive Festival cities of Asia".

Da Lat Flower Festival 2024 promises to bring unique cultural and tourism experiences to domestic and international visitors.

Mr. Pham S, Vice Chairman of Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee, said that Da Lat, with its favorable climate, has many conditions for agricultural development, especially the flower industry. Tourism and agriculture are two important advantages in the local socio-economic development.

In particular, the international workshop "Da Lat develops green tourism and cultural industry from diverse natural resources and local culture" focuses on green tourism... to exploit the strengths of the locality for sustainable development.

According to the Organizing Committee, Lam Dong province did not use the state budget to organize the Flower Festival because it had the cooperation of the whole society, both intangible and material with long-term value.

The opening ceremony of the 2024 Da Lat Flower Festival will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television at 8:00 p.m. on December 5 at Lam Vien Square, Da Lat City, and the closing ceremony of the Da Lat Flower Festival will be broadcast live on Lam Dong Radio and Television at 8:00 p.m. on December 31.
