The industrial production index in April increased by 4.7% over the previous month, by 15.9% over the same period; cumulatively increased by 6.7% over the same period.

Main industrial products: shrimp processing output in April is estimated at 21,071 tons, cumulatively estimated at 70,913 tons, equal to 32.2% of the plan, up 8.1% over the same period; commercial gas output is estimated at 165 million m3, cumulatively estimated at 610 million m3, equal to 33.9% of the plan, equivalent to the same period; electricity production is estimated at 649 million kWh, cumulatively estimated at 2,335 million kWh, equal to 35.9% of the plan, equivalent to the same period; commercial electricity output is estimated at 175 million kWh, cumulatively estimated at 636 million kWh, equal to 31% of the plan, down 3.3% over the same period; LPG - Condensate output is estimated at 12,960 tons, cumulative output is estimated at 52,545 tons, equal to 37.5% of the plan, up 7.2% over the same period; fertilizer output is estimated at 116,648 tons, cumulative output is estimated at 456,479 tons, equal to 40% of the plan, up 5.8% over the same period.

Cumulative commercial electricity output in the first four months of 2025 decreased compared to the same period due to low load demand in the first months of the year; according to the forecast of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (Department of Hydro-Meteorology, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ), it is likely that the heat wave in 2025 will not be as severe and prolonged as in 2024. In April, the intensity of heat wave is less severe than in the same period in 2024, so the demand for household electricity consumption will decrease compared to the same period.

Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in April is estimated at VND10,164 billion; cumulatively estimated at VND39,077 billion, equal to 32.6% of the plan, up 15.4% over the same period.

Export turnover in April is estimated at 110.7 million USD, cumulative estimated at 406.1 million USD, equal to 30.1% of the plan, up 7.3% over the same period; of which, seafood export is estimated at 94.2 million USD, cumulative estimated at 330.3, equal to 27.8% of the plan, up 4.6% over the same period; fertilizer export is estimated at 14.4 million USD, cumulative estimated at 67.3 million USD, equal to 48.1% of the plan, up 13.4% over the same period. Export turnover in April is estimated to decrease by 1.59% compared to the previous month due to the impact of the complicated world trade war, tariff policies..., pushing up domestic and world gold prices, which has greatly affected the production, business and export activities of enterprises./.
