Livestream to support Vo Nhai people to sell nearly 4.7 tons of custard apples

On August 2, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Cooperative Union coordinated with the People's Committee of Vo Nhai district to organize a livestream program on La Hien custard apple market and agricultural products and OCOP products of Thai Nguyen province.

This activity has been taking place for several years now during each custard apple season to help farmers promote, access markets and effectively consume their products.

This year's program was held at the custard apple garden in Xuan Hoa hamlet (La Hien commune, Vo Nhai district), which is where the first commercial custard apple growing area was established in Vo Nhai district.

On August 2, despite the heavy rain, the livestream activity attracted a large number of local people, tourists, many Tiktoker groups, vloggers and representatives of some cooperatives in Thai Nguyen province to participate in livestream on social networking platforms such as Facebook and Tiktok.

In the livestream session from 10am to 2pm on August 2 alone, there were over 6 million live views on social media platforms with 865 online orders for Thai Nguyen province’s agricultural products. Of which, nearly 4.7 tons of custard apples were sold.

The program is part of the opening activities of the Vo Nhai Festival in the ripe custard apple season - Promoting and connecting the consumption of Vo Nhai custard apple products and Thai Nguyen agricultural products, opening on the evening of August 2.
