Tuyen Quang exceeds 2025 forest planting plan

By the end of September, Tuyen Quang province had completed and exceeded the annual forest planting plan target, making an important contribution to sustainable forestry economic development and ecological environmental protection. In 2025, the province's concentrated forest planting plan was 13,047.8 hectares, but to date it has reached more than 14,000 hectares, equal to 107.3% of the plan.

Of which, protective and special-use forests cover more than 177 hectares, production forests cover 13,833 hectares. Households and individuals continue to be the main force in afforestation with more than 10,600 hectares, forestry companies have planted more than 2,000 hectares. In addition, the province has also planted more than 1,591 hectares of scattered trees, contributing to greening bare land, improving the environment and improving the quality of life for people, demonstrating the effectiveness of the afforestation movement and sustainable forest protection.

Free highway service for vehicles carrying relief goods to flood areas

In order to promote the spirit of "mutual love and support", "helping each other" and support the rapid transportation of relief goods to areas affected by storms and floods, on October 8, the Vietnam Road Administration ( Ministry of Construction ) issued Document No. 5285/CDBVN-KHTC to TASCO Joint Stock Company, Vietnam Digital Traffic Joint Stock Company (VDTC) and Road Management Zones I, II, III, IV... regarding exemption of road use fees for vehicles transporting relief goods.

Accordingly, toll stations of BOT projects and expressways will temporarily exempt road use fees for vehicles carrying relief goods until further instructions are issued. The time will start from 6:00 p.m. on October 8, 2025 until further notice.

Continue to distribute more than 28,000 Aquatabs 67mg water disinfectant tablets, batch 3

In order to serve the work of water source treatment and disease prevention during the rainy season, Cao Bang Provincial Center for Disease Control continues to distribute the third batch of Aquatabs 67mg water disinfectant tablets to commune and ward health stations in the province. Accordingly, more than 28,000 Aquatabs 67mg water disinfectant tablets were distributed to commune health stations.

Along with that, 40 kg of Cloramin B was allocated to ward health stations to disinfect water sources, clean the environment, and ensure health safety for people after floods. The distribution was carried out urgently, helping localities to be more proactive in disease prevention, preventing outbreaks after natural disasters.

Dinh Hoa Commune launched a campaign to support people affected by storm No. 11.

The Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee of Dinh Hoa commune ( Thai Nguyen province) have just launched a campaign to support people affected by storm No. 11 (storm Matmo). The program calls for the cooperation of cadres, civil servants, public employees, armed forces, workers receiving salaries from the budget, enterprises, cooperatives and households, except for poor, near-poor and severely damaged households.

Organizations and individuals can donate directly at the headquarters of the Commune Fatherland Front Committee or transfer money to the Agribank Dinh Hoa account (8502201009049), the receiving time is until October 30, 2025. Immediately after the launching ceremony, many groups and individuals in the area actively responded. All donations will be transferred to the Thai Nguyen Provincial Relief Fund, contributing to helping people in the storm-hit areas stabilize their lives soon.

Lang Son Provincial Police give gifts to support people in flood-affected areas

The Youth Union and Women's Union of Lang Son Provincial Police recently organized a donation of necessities and drinking water to flood victims in That Khe, Trang Dinh and Yen Binh communes. At the destinations, the delegation donated 100 boxes of instant noodles, 100 boxes of drinking water, 10 boxes of cakes, and 20 boxes of milk with a total value of more than 40 million VND, all of which were contributed by the Youth Union and Women's Union members of the Provincial Police.

All goods were handed over to the commune police force for timely distribution to disadvantaged households. Thereby, demonstrating the spirit of volunteerism of the youth and the kindness of the women of the People's Police, contributing to sharing the difficulties with people in flood-affected areas.

Son La proactively responds to and reduces damage caused by natural disasters

As a locality that is regularly affected by heavy rains, flash floods, landslides, floods and droughts, Son La province always focuses on forecasting and warning of natural disasters to minimize human and property damage, helping people proactively respond and protect production. Currently, the province has more than 34,000 hectares of agricultural land actively irrigated thanks to the irrigation system, contributing to limiting the impact of extreme weather.

Faced with the complicated developments of natural disasters, Son La has implemented many solutions to integrate forecasts into development planning, invest in upgrading warning systems, and strengthen information through media and social networks, helping people promptly grasp, proactively prevent, and minimize risks.
