Speaking at the ceremony, Major General Doan Van Nhat said: “The war has long gone, but the losses and sacrifices that generations of fathers and brothers have endured are still imprinted in the hearts of soldiers. Each house of gratitude today is not only a material home but first and foremost a symbol of comradeship, of deep gratitude to those who have devoted and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.”  

The activities of offering incense, giving gifts, and handing over gratitude houses in Ba To are vivid evidence of the spirit of "Returning to the origin, showing gratitude to those with merit" of the Military Region 5 in the journey towards the 80th anniversary of the Traditional Day.
