“We respectfully request that parents cooperate with teachers to guide their children in their studies and ensure their safety during their time off at home,” the school announced. Nguyen Sieu Primary School also said it has planned to hold make-up classes on Saturday, October 11.

Chu Van An Primary School - Hanoi informs that due to the complicated developments of the storm, according to the weather forecast of the morning news on VTV1 (5:30), Hanoi will continue to have heavy rain and thunderstorms in the next 3 to 6 hours, which is likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas. Therefore, to ensure safety, today, October 7, all students at the school will be off school. Classes will be held online according to the schedule of the homeroom teacher.

"Parents are requested to pay attention to and manage their children during the break, and at the same time follow information from homeroom teachers to update students' study plans," the school's announcement said.

Tay Mo Secondary School announced that based on the actual weather conditions in the area, heavy rain and large amounts of water may cause localized flooding, causing traffic insecurity when traveling to school. To ensure the safety of students and teachers, the school decided to conduct online learning for the whole school on October 7, adjusting the organization according to schedule number 5.

"Teachers are requested to promptly notify parents and students to fully prepare learning equipment and ensure proper class hours," the school announced.

Previously, yesterday, October 6, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requested school principals and heads of units to base on actual weather conditions in the area, physical conditions and traffic safety to proactively decide on appropriate teaching and learning methods (in-person, online or adjusted timetables); ensuring absolute safety for students, staff, teachers and employees.

The Hanoi Department of Education and Training also requires schools to closely monitor weather developments; review and clear drainage systems, schoolyards, cafeterias, and boarding areas. At the same time, arrange to be on duty, update and promptly report on rain and flooding situations, and impacts on teaching and learning activities (if any) to the Department for synthesis and handling according to regulations.
