Responding to the press's question about which cultural features Vietnam will introduce at the World Cultural Festival in Hanoi , Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh said that the Organizing Committee has considered very carefully, each art form has its own value and the selection always raises many concerns.
The Deputy Minister shared that Vietnam has just successfully organized an exhibition on the journey of 80 years of independence, freedom and happiness, introducing the country's outstanding quintessence. Therefore, at this festival, Vietnam's cultural space will be represented by the capital Hanoi - where the soul of national culture and thousands of years of civilization converge.
He hopes this choice will bring international friends a profound experience and receive sympathy and support.
Many embassies and international organizations attended the World Cultural Festival in Hanoi.
As of September 25, 48 embassies, international organizations and foreign cultural centers in Vietnam have registered to participate in the festival. The program brings together 45 national cultural spaces, 33 food stalls, 16 international art troupes, 12 book presentation units and 20 countries sending films to participate in the screening activities.
Director of the Department of International Cooperation (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) Nguyen Phuong Hoa said that the first World Culture Festival in Hanoi will take place from October 10-12, 2025 at the Central Relic Site of Thang Long Imperial Citadel. Within the framework of the event, there will be many special activities such as: Hanoi World Culture Festival, international culinary program, film screening, international folk dance, international fine arts, Ao Dai performance, Hanoi International Book Festival and supporting activities.
With the motto "culture is the foundation - art is the means", the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism hopes that the festival will become an annual international cultural diplomatic event of Hanoi, promoting people-to-people exchanges, enhancing mutual understanding and trust between Vietnam and other countries, and affirming the contribution of culture in implementing the United Nations' sustainable development goals, for global peace and prosperity.
