According to the Telegram channel "Resident", the fighting on the Pokrovsk front is very fierce. To the north of the city, the Russian army (RFAF) is advancing towards the village of Shakhove. Moreover, the presence of Russian troops was noted along the road between the village of Kucherov Yar and Toretsk.

Meanwhile, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are also "all in", deploying all reserve forces, trying to advance to Boykivka and Mayak, to cut off the "Dobropillya rock"; thereby forcing the Russian army to retreat from the area they had broken through in the north, "Resident" reported.

It should also be emphasized that positional battles are currently taking place in the vicinity of Pokrovsk, Novopavlivka and Udachne. Russian troops are attacking in small groups around this concentration area, gradually strengthening their presence south of Pokrovsk.

The Russians are also concentrating their reserves in the Novoekonomichne and Grodovka areas, apparently before continuing their attack on Myrnohrad from the east, the Telegram channel explained. Pokrovsk is one of the key strongholds of the AFU. This explains the intensity of the fighting currently taking place in and around the city.

In recent weeks, the AFU has deployed most of its reserves to the Pokrovsk front, in an attempt to prevent a Russian breakthrough near Dobropillia. However, this plan has so far been unsuccessful. Both Russia and Ukraine have now deployed their main cards in the battle for Pokrovsk, and now much will depend on which side can make the best use of the opportunity.

Now geolocated videos have also confirmed that Russian infantry are just ahead of Mirnograd, taking up fortified positions along the fields and advancing just outside the first buildings of the city. The AFU is showing signs of disintegration, as the defense line west of Porkrovsk is slowly collapsing.

North of Pokrovsk, along the Readovka channel, the RFAF 51st Army continued to weaken the enemy's combined forces in the Dobropolye counteroffensive. Specifically, units of the 51st Army continued to harass the AFU units that were using all their capabilities to stop the RFAF's spearhead southeast of Dobropolye.
8-7603.jpg
Both sides were in a state of extreme tension, and a special situation appeared on the battle map. On the eastern flank of the AFU counteroffensive, the Russians regained the initiative and forced the Ukrainian assault units to transfer part of their forces to temporary defense.
9-503.jpg
In parallel, RFAF tactical aviation, artillery and UAVs are carrying out intense fire raids along the villages of Vladimirivka, Shakhove and Sofiyivka, where Ukrainian troops are concentrated, in an attempt to expand towards Novotoretske.
9-7855.jpg
RFAF artillery shelling caused significant losses in personnel and equipment to the Ukrainian forces in the narrow counterattack corridor, densely packed with AFU troops, but without any cover. At the same time, pressure continued to be exerted on the flanks of the AFU counterattack area, towards Novotoretske.
12-7612.jpg
The task of the 51st Army and the 8th RFAF Army in this area remains the same: to tighten the “bottleneck” against which the AFU units are counterattacking. Meanwhile, to the west, the situation is even more tense, as the Ukrainians, despite heavy RFAF fire, continue to attack and force Russian units to retreat from some of their forward positions in Nikanorivka.
12-7676.jpg
However, the AFU could not use this village as a solid springboard for further breakthroughs, as the superior firepower of the RFAF prevented them from consolidating the bridgehead there and safely regrouping their forces. But a little further south, through the dry, densely forested ravines, Ukrainian assault groups were penetrating deep into the Russian defensive area.
13-6403.jpg
The Ukrainian forces targeted the village of Boykivka, which borders the village of Novotoretske along the Kazennyi Torets River, which they were trying to reach from Shakhove. In addition to the ravines, the AFU in this area is also supported by the engineering structures of the Krasnolimanskaya mine ventilation system.
6-413.jpg
In the western sector of the counter-offensive, the Ukrainians, despite suffering losses, managed to penetrate the RFAF defenses at several points. But with the thrusts on the eastern flank stopped by the RFAF, further gains in the west were meaningless. This forced the AFU General Staff to continue to increase reinforcements.
15-2780.jpg
While the fighting was fierce, a former AFU soldier named Viktor Taran said that the logistical support for the Pokrovsk front was severely hampered by RFAF firepower, making the Ukrainian army's situation critical.

Viktor Taran added that Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad are under direct threat, the current situation is very serious and requires an immediate response from the AFU General Staff. In fact, the supply routes to Pokrovsk-Mirnohrad are being severely blocked by RFAF fire.
17-2677.jpg
Meanwhile, the AFU continues its active operations as part of the so-called Dobropillya counteroffensive. According to Mr. Taran, the goal of this operation is to try to cut off the salient positions in the front line, known as “rabbit ears”, and divert the threat away from Druzhkovka and Kostiantynivka.

Currently, the most combat-ready units, including the 1st Azov Corps, the brigades of the airborne assault forces, and other combat units, have been deployed to participate in the counteroffensive. However, Taran believes that concentrating forces in this direction is diverting resources from holding Pokrovsk, where logistics have been cut off. (photo source: Military Review, Ukrinform, TASS)
