The tomb of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac is ranked as a special national monument.

(CT) - Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh has just signed Decision No. 1959/QD-TTg dated September 11, 2025 on ranking special national monuments (18th batch, 2025).

There are 4 relics ranked this time, including the historical relic of the tomb of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac, Cao Lanh ward, Dong Thap province. The relic site is the resting place of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac (1862-1929) - the father of President Ho Chi Minh .

The Vice-Chancellor was a patriotic Confucian scholar, devoted to the country and the people, lived a simple life, and was full of compassion. The Nguyen Sinh Sac relic site started construction on August 22, 1975, and was inaugurated on February 13, 1977. In 1992, the tomb of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac was ranked as a national historical and cultural relic. After many restorations and embellishments, the relic site is very spacious and solemn. In addition to the tomb of Vice-Chancellor Nguyen Sinh Sac, the relic site also has many items such as a temple and an exhibition house about the life and career of the Vice-Chancellor, an exhibition house about the life and career of President Ho Chi Minh, a model of Uncle Ho's stilt house, a lotus pond, and a reenactment of the ancient Hoa An village...

Three other relics were also ranked as special national relics this time, including: Historical relics of places marking the Nghe Tinh Soviet Movement (1930 - 1931) in Nghe An ; Scenic and archaeological sites of Tam Chuc Complex, Tam Chuc Ward, Ninh Binh Province; Historical and architectural relics of Co Le Pagoda, Co Le Commune, Ninh Binh Province.

According to the decision, the relic protection area is determined according to the minutes and maps of relic protection areas in the dossier. The Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Chairman of the People's Committee at all levels where the above-mentioned ranked relics are located, within the scope of their duties and powers, shall carry out state management of the relics according to the provisions of the law on cultural heritage.
