Reopening of Shenzhen - Da Nang direct flight

The event marks an important first step in the process of restoring key international flights after a period of interruption, while opening up opportunities for comprehensive cooperation between Da Nang and Chinese localities.

On the evening of October 2, at Da Nang International Airport, the government and functional agencies of Da Nang City held a ceremony to welcome China Southern Airlines (CZ) to officially resume international flights from Shenzhen (China) to Da Nang (Vietnam).

Delegates performed the opening ceremony of the Shenzhen - Da Nang flight route.

Specifically, at 7:20 p.m. the same day, flight CZ8155 carrying more than 170 passengers from Shenzhen landed at International Terminal T2 (Da Nang International Airport). Visitors were welcomed with traditional ceremonies, art performances and souvenirs bearing the local cultural imprint.

At the welcoming ceremony, Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City, said: China has always been one of the key international markets of Da Nang, ranking second in the number of international visitors to the city for many years. The return of China Southern Airlines with the Shenzhen - Da Nang route is considered an "important milestone, contributing to strengthening connections, expanding cooperation and promising positive growth of the Chinese tourist market in the coming time".

Da Nang welcomes the first visitors from Shenzhen (China) to visit the city.

According to the plan, in October 2025, China Southern Airlines will operate 6 round-trip flights with schedules on October 2, 6, 10, 14, 18 and 22. The reopening of this route is expected to create a big boost for the international tourist market to Da Nang.

In recent years, identifying aviation and tourism development as a strategic pillar, Da Nang has proactively coordinated with airlines and travel agencies to restore the international flight network, in order to meet travel needs, connect trade and enhance people-to-people exchanges. Not only does it serve as an aviation bridge, the reopening of the Shenzhen - Da Nang route also opens up prospects for cooperation in many fields.

Shenzhen – China’s leading financial and technology center has extensive relations with international corporations. Direct connection with Da Nang will be a premise to promote investment, trade, education , science and technology cooperation, in addition to tourism and service development. This event also contributes to deepening the friendly and cooperative relationship between Da Nang and Chinese localities, strengthening regional cooperation in the new period.
