One person won a record Vietlott prize of nearly 345 billion VND

(Dan Tri) - After nearly 4 months, Vietlott found a customer who won a prize of approximately 345 billion VND, the highest ever.

In the drawing on July 12 of the Power 6/55 product, Vietnam Computerized Lottery Company (Vietlott) identified a winning ticket with the highest prize (Jackpot 1) worth 344.98 billion VND, accumulated over nearly 4 months. This prize is also the prize with the largest value since Vietlott started computerized lottery business in 2016.

Previously, the value of the above product reached 314 billion VND in 2024, divided equally between 2 lucky people in Ho Chi Minh City. In 2018, a customer in Hanoi won a prize worth 303 billion VND.

The lottery company said it would provide detailed information about the ticket distribution channel for the nearly VND345 billion prize as soon as the review is completed. According to regulations, the winner must pay 10% personal income tax and can receive about VND310.5 billion.

This year, Vietlott was assigned by the Ministry of Finance to achieve a taxable revenue target of VND8,750 billion, pre-tax profit of VND305 billion and payment to the State budget of VND2,023 billion. Revenue from ticket sales via terminals is expected to reach VND4,440 billion, and from telephone channels VND4,262 billion. The remainder comes from financial revenue.

The company representative said that in the first 5 months of the year, it recorded revenue of 3,590 billion VND, completing 41% of the plan. The company paid out bonuses of more than 1,902 billion VND and contributed over 1,000 billion VND to the budget.
