According to statistics, the unit has temporarily stopped supplying electricity to all 10/10 power lines and 400/400 transformer stations, affecting more than 38,000 customers in the area. The power cut was carried out urgently, in accordance with procedures, before the water level rose to prevent the risk of incidents, fires or electrical accidents that may occur.

Officials of Bac Ninh Electricity Company inspect the power grid in the old Yen The district. |
It is known that, right from the warning of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting about the direction of storm Matmo and the possibility of causing heavy rain over a large area, Bac Ninh Electricity Company activated the response plan according to the "4 on-site" motto (on-site command, on-site forces, on-site supplies, on-site logistics) and was ready to handle situations.
Regional power management teams, including Yen The, are required to inspect the entire power grid safety corridor, review locations at risk of landslides and flooding, and develop emergency response plans when necessary. The 24/7 on-duty force is fully equipped with safety equipment, life jackets, protective gear, and rescue equipment to be ready to participate in troubleshooting when required.
According to the representative of the Company's Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue, temporarily stopping power supply in deeply flooded communes is a necessary and mandatory measure to prevent electrical accidents for people, while protecting the safety of the power grid and equipment.
At the same time, Bac Ninh Electricity Company closely coordinates with local authorities, police, military and telecommunications units to propagate and advise people to proactively prevent electrical risks during the rainy season, not to move or touch electrical equipment on their own, and to immediately contact the electricity industry when in need of emergency support. In particular, absolutely do not touch or use metal objects to contact electric wires, electric poles, or electrical cabinets, even when suspecting a power outage.
Do not stand near transformer stations, electric poles, or broken or fallen electric wires. When discovered, immediately notify the electricity industry at 1900 6769 or contact the nearest electricity management team. Turn off the circuit breaker in the house immediately when water flows into the living area.
Unplug all electrical appliances (refrigerators, televisions, water heaters, electric stoves, etc.) before leaving the house. Do not turn on the circuit breaker, circuit breaker, or start electrical appliances while the area is still flooded or has not been inspected for safety by the electricity department.
After the water has receded, only use electricity again after it has been checked for safety. All circuit breakers, wires, meters, sockets, and equipment must be completely dry. If you find broken wires, wet equipment, sparks, burning smells, or unusual noises, do not use it and immediately notify the local electricity company for assistance. Do not arbitrarily turn on or repair electrical equipment without expertise. Check the grounding system of metal equipment (washing machines, refrigerators, water heaters, etc.) to prevent electrical leakage.
